This month we start with a great Dj and producer @Steve Slight

His father and sister played several instruments and his mother had a Roland synthesizer. 
He was 7 years old when it all started for him.
He tried to play the Roland and experimented by manipulating sounds and tunes. 
Trial and error teached him how to make inspiring sounds.
Sounds for him are a very interesting things.
Sounds, not only of music, but also from daily life stuff: 
footsteps in a parking lot, wind blowing or even a ticking clock.
Later he discovered Techno and eventually started playing.
He was amazed by all the tracks that he could share with the crowd, sounds, effects, the vibe, the way people reacted to it, and most of all, what was happening inside of him.
He wanted to make this kind of music. 
He was mesmerized...
So he bought my first gear, it was a Roland MC909 and Logic audio.
He started to experiment a bit and 
learned the tricks and trade by himself and through a music forum were he  dropped my first try-outs with Ramon Tapia.
He was my very first guide.
He would invite me a few times in his studio at USA Import Antwerp and 
share with me a lot of inspiration and knowledge about music.
When it comes to music I get inspired by all kinds of events that occur in his life. 
He believes that his personal emotions are the basis for any musical creation.
He might be a dreamer, but when he feel joy or anger, or when other emotions run high, he feels creativity tickle and that are the best moments to make a powerful track.
And sometimes, like a writers' block, there comes nothing at all. 

And that is also good.

The concise characteristics of Ryan Davis’s music are within the dimensions of sound, taking the listener on a journey full of stories which describe feelings, dreams and desires. Ryan’s music is not solely made to fill the dancefloors, with each note he is trying to reach hearts.

In 2006, Ryan released his debut single Transformer which led to notable attention from the music scene. Since that day he has released records with labels like Archipel and Manual, being included on compilations mixed by Ivan Smagghe and John Digweed.

Since 2011 Ryan has became a constant element of the Traumschallplatten family and also started working with the label Areal in his adopted hometown of Berlin. In addition Ryan had already founded two of his own labels, offering the platform to new artists to promote themselves releasing alongside well known names. One result has been a worldwide collective with different labels and artists who are in constant contact, pushing ideas and music forward.

Nico Morano is a name synonymous with melodic energy, which seeps through his DJ sets, his commendable productions and remixes, and his own Ontourage Music label and parties.

For quite a few years now, the sound of Nico Morano is turning heads as one of the most sophisticated ones in Belgium and beyond. Through reputable releases on DAYS like NIGHTS, Selador, Kattermukke, Dantze and his own Ontourage Music and Atmosphere Records, the Belgian DJ, producer and label boss has been cultivating a unique blend of deep, melodic house with a strong emotional touch, resulting in more than a hundred gigs in Belgium alone, from shows at highly respected clubs such as Ampère, Fuse and Kompass Klub to his own Nico Morano & Friends stage at Paradise City Festival and Tomorrowland.

In the past few years, Nico Morano has collaborated with the likes of Jonas Saalbach, Radeckt and Tom Zeta and saw his effervescent originals remixed by internationally acclaimed peers such as Eelke Kleijn, Sabb, Moonwalk, Biesmans and Nandu. And as he persistently skips over the borders of his home country, he continues to build out his brand on an international scale through both his standout creations and the infectious sound bites coming from his own imprints.
