Hailing from the "Pearl of the West", Hector's upbringing in Guadalajara, Mexico – a city occupied by distinguished poets, writers, painters, actors, film directors and other creative souls – has partially influenced his strong interest in the electronic mix-culture and nurtured his knack for edgy house beats.
Taking to his passion at the ripe age of 16 and later becoming a key player on London's infamous house circuit, it wouldn't be long before mobilee welcomed in some fresh air to their Berlin imprint. Now, two releases and two compilation appearances later, Hector will release his third 3-part EP under mobilee's 104th edition.
"The Hand Of Hec" dominates the A-side with a single interval beat garnished in tambourine strikes collecting upbeat melodies, voice samples and various noise elements along its seven minute journey. This track embodies Hector's "anything goes" attitude with rubber-band notes that snap back into full-fledged grooves.
The flip-side represents a more daring and experimental side of Hector as "King Of The Yard" incorporates multitudes of funky sounds, samples, vocals and other quirky gadgets. Fast-paced and sensational, this track is home to the long lost jitterbugs. Wrapping up the B-side is "Start Stop Dream", a relaxing lullaby that cradles the comedown with tame beats under a calm sky of shooting lasers.

It’s the pre-squeeze leading up to the big release. Mobilee presents this double-track treat on both vinyl and digital. 

The A-side tears it up with „Hartwood“, Rodriguez Jr.’s biggest hit to date. With a series of alternating and repetitive keyboard strokes and soulful lyrics bouncing on a thick velvet cushion of rich background base, this number is guaranteed to appeal to the industry’s most respected players. Already landing on the hard drives of Pete Tong, Laurent Garnier and Simian Mobile Disco “Hartwood” has gained a bit of airtime as loyal listeners burn for the final release date.

The B-side features Anja Schneider with a full out female power vocal number ironically titled, “Henry & Lars”. This track takes form from a very cuddly story that took place at BPM Festival in Mexico as Anja’s little guy and a stuffed animal named “Lars” found love and friendship in a little girl and her stuffed-animal she called “Henry”. And so the story went on…

We are very pleased to announce that Wehbba has just completed his second album for Tronic! This is the first and only single before the album. As we have come to get used from Wehbba he is delivering a peaktime techno bomb called &#8220;Attitude&#8221;. &#8220;Christian Smith: I played it a few times already and reaction have been amazing.&#8221; To compliment this track he has drafted in Italian duo Macromism for remix duties. Fresh from the release of the deep acid-tinged ‘Clear Vision’ on Noir Music’s latest ‘Second Chances & New Romances 6.0’ compilation, revered Italian duo Supernova are making a long-overdue return to their own Lapsus Music imprint with a new two track EP. Having built the label’s roster into one of house music’s strongest units, the label heads are returning to the frontline with the ‘Acidays’ EP. 

First up, the title track ‘Acidays’ kicks things off with a jackin’ rhythm and low-slung bassline groove, letting the lead acid synth line dictate the track’s progression as it snakes through the sparse 909 drum snap. This motif is continued as ‘A-cieed’ travels further down the rabbit hole. Keeping things moving with scattershot snares and crisp open hi-hats, the track builds in urgency around the evolving acid riff at its core.

On Traxsource, the EP will lead with another original production, ‘Something’. Here Supernova rework the acid flavour that runs through the other tracks, offering the same low end bump but with a timeless melodic stroke.

A natural progression from the focused sound evident on ‘Clear Vision’, ‘Acidays’ continues in the duo’s exploration of the possibilities of the iconic acid sound, blending it with the forward-thinking production style that has become synonymous with both Supernova and Lapsus Music. Making a triumphant return to their brainchild Lapsus Music, Supernova’s new EP proves itself to be well worth the wait. ‘Acidays’ is as effortlessly crafted and fresh as they come.
