The band was formed in 2009 by TST and mggt under the influence of 8bit and nintendocore music such as Go! With Fourteen O and Horse The Band. First name of the band was Go Fuck My GirlFriend, and later it was shortened to GFMGF. 
First records were taken at home with cheap mic and PC. The first LP, “close your eyes / open your mouth” came out in 2009. It had low quality because guys has no recording and mastering experience, but it started to circulate over the internets, and GFMGF gathered some fans. The band started to perform live at their home town. Guys made a cover of “Made a gun with my fingers and shot at my friends” by Go! With Fourteen O, recorded it and performed it live. Dennis from G!WFO rated cover as good and funny. 
After that GFMGF started to record vocals at studio but the band keeping DIY to this day. The second album, “Fight Not Give Up”, was released in 2010. GFMGF did their first shows outside of Vladivostok. 
In 2010 band was looking for the live drummer, and found Marky, the drummer of Radio Pelican. 
In 2011 the band released split with Moskow artist nerelectricus with two new songs: “Russian cop” and “women and children”. It was first record with live drums. 
During summer 2011 GFMGF played shows in Khabarovsk, Moskow and St. Petersburg.
