NastyFunk are back again, and this time they're armed with a sunshine fuelled summertime smash in Marco Darko's "She Don't Want It" EP. Fresh from a string of fantastic releases (Hot Waves, Disco Electronica, Sleazy Deep) the Manchester based producer provides us with an unmissable release.

The original mix of She Don't Want It, perfect for both the underground as well as all those pool & beach parties in the summer months, is packed full of ultra-cool vibes and contagious grooves. With smooth, catchy vocals and feel-good thoughts, it's simply a must have. The B Side, Way I Feel, is another huge track, and a testament to the 90's old school UK sound, encompassing piano chords with acid synths, underlined by a silky & super-deep baseline.

Two remixes from two much admired Deep House figures compliment the release and add different flavours to the original of She Don't Want It. Culprit LA's Death on the Balcony provide a next-level dancefloor edit, laden with atmospherics and amazing rhythms, whilst S.K.A.M. kicks up the tempo with a fun & funky mover, that will get any crowd moving due to it's driving housey sounds and dark vibes.

Joining the Get Twisted Family with the first release of 2014 we welcome Marco Darko. With as run of releases on established labels Hot Waves, Mother & Nasty Funk, Marco has been gaining strong momentum into the new year.

Title track Devotion, typifies Marco’s love for disco and diva vocals. The brightness of the vocals balance perfectly with the darker underlying bassline. This leaves the track perfectly set up for the introduction of the house organ and drum roll, picking the pace of the track up perfectly for the movers and shakers on the dancefloor.

‘Good Enough’ is s a straight house groover from the get go. Chopped vocals, organs, stabs, high strings & some delicious drums are all in the layered perfectly to give a friendly but bumpy dance floor weapon.

Split between Bristol & London, duo Bordertown have firmly established themselves in recent times, with releases on heavyweight labels such as Toolroom & Nurvous. A perfect fit to Get Twisted Records, Bordertown’s Love & Other Drugs E.P is the complete package for DJ's & music lovers a like.

The opening track on the E.P "Never Leave Me", is an infectious straight dance floor filler. A throw back to 90’s house, it serves up an offering of crisp percussion, beautifully combined organs & a classic house piano. The introduction of the vocal really sets this track alight beautifully implementing suspense throughout its cleverly arranged builds and emphatic drops.

Having A Party oozes energy from the get go, with cleverly chopped vocals and an infectious piano lick leading the way. Then comes the horny stuff, the monster bass line reminiscent of the speed garage era takes full effect. A Rip roaring sub melody combined with cleverly placed counter bass notes makes "having a party" a sure dance floor filler. A re introduction of the house piano accompanied by some classic breaks gives the track a new life and a chance to breathe before you’re hit by that sub sonic rumble once again.

Rounding off the E.P, is "Love You", a straight underground foot shuffler. Its memorable bass tone is perfectly balanced amongst warm pads, thumping kick and rolling snare. Accompanied by its infectious hook line the words "I can love you" will surely stay in the listeners mind long after the track has ended.

Hull (UK) based producer Ben Dooks lives and breathes music of all genres and this shows in his original tracks and official remixes. In the summer of 2014, he released his bootleg of the #6 single ‘Right Here’ by Jess Glynne, which ended up being supported by nearly every club/bar DJ in the UK and abroad. 18 months later and the bootleg has notched up over 1.5 million plays on YouTube, and still counting. 

In 2015 Ben had his best year yet; from signing original tracks/remixes, featuring on the Hed Kandi Ibiza 2015 compilation album, to playing his first tour of Ireland over 5 days and playing in city’s like Liverpool, Darlington, York and Warrington to name just a few. 

Since then Ben has remixed the likes of Danny L Harle, K-Klass, Solu Music, Raine, Sheila Gordhan and also gained support from Oliver Heldens, EDX, Don Diablo, Danny Howard, Lost Frequencies, Mike Mago, Mandal & Forbes, Redondo and Endor (to name a few) and radio support on BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, Capital FM and Gaydio.

Ben is now defining his sound by trying to push piano driven tracks back into the forefront of house music and 2016 is looking to be a big year with many more original tracks and remixes to come.
