Portuguese producer Trikk and Dutch producer Collé remix ‘Summer & Smoke’; one of the standout singles from Cubicolor's latest album 'Sometime Not Now'.

Trikk, who has previously released on Innervisions, Lossless and Music Optima, draws on his diverse musical influences from his two homes of Porto and Mozambique, as well as the musical melting pots of Berlin and London, to create a memorable remix characterised by an extremely catchy lead synth.

Dutch DJ and producer Randy Collé is no stranger to the electronic music scene, having received a great deal of support from acts such as Solomun, Âme and Black Coffee. His remix, which has already been supported by 8Kays in her Afterlife set in Tulum, is designed for the dancefloor and has some epic and emotional moments.

"Trebor Ivadnom" is the opening piece of a discourse full of personality. Dressed with an imposing rhythm complemented by synthesizers that subtly embellish it. Deploying a variety of resources to activate and keep your senses excited. Dynamism and attention to detail, a treat for the ears.

"Swipe Up" is a steamroller from the opening bars. A parade of interspatial sounds serves as an introduction before the avalanche of groove. A serious and forceful rhythm that rides at a steady pace alongside the thunderous roar of an enraged synthesizer.

Ian Ludvig returns home as a special guest. It couldn't be anyone else who put the special touch to this release. His unique way of interpreting music makes him an artist without equal when it comes to creating sounds. A real show of intensity for his version of "Trebor Ivadnom".

Artwork by Ben Biron. Fully immersed in the creation of surreal sounds and worlds through powerful artificial intelligence, the artist recreates a person elegantly wearing a bunch of grapes as a pair of trousers. Style, like wine, is a matter of subjective taste.

Sasha heads to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels for the very first time, with the iconic Last Night On Earth boss remixing ‘The Last Song’ from Pale Blue’s excellent 2023 LP ‘Maria’. 

Released earlier this year, critically acclaimed pairing Pale Blue, aka Mike Simonetti (Italians Do It Better) and  Elizabeth Wight (Silver Hands), once again showcased precisely why their wide-reaching, expansive material and  music is so well loved within the electronic realm. Offering an eight-track journey into their own idiosyncratic and  singular universe in the form of their latest album ‘Maria’, the project was also accompanied by a selection of  stellar remixes and reworks from the likes of Fort Romeau, DJ Tennis, Perel, Kölsch and Rebolledo, and Damian  Lazarus’ renowned Crosstown Rebels imprint once again explores a fresh interpretation to close out its 2023  schedule, welcoming legendary DJ/producer and electronic pioneer Sasha to the label for the first time as he  remixes the entrancing ‘The Last Song’. 

“Buzzing be remixing for Crosstown Rebels. I loved the Pale Blue album when it dropped earlier this year. That spiritual, introspective sound drew me in, and ‘The Last Song’ reminded me a little of the Julee Cruise music from the 90s that graced many an ambient room mix. I have tried to keep the rawness of the original song but also channel some of that 90s hedonistic energy into this mix.” - Sasha. 

Harnessing Liz’s spellbinding vocals and placing them at the heart of the production before weaving slinking  percussion grooves, sweeping leads and resonant synth stabs to craft a dancefloor-ready take on the track,  Sasha’s remix draws on the original’s delicateness while bringing a free-flowing, late-night edge to the production.  Add in the hazy and wistful textures amongst the captivating builds and breaks, and you’re left with a remix built to  create lasting early-hour memories and moments.
