I combined elements of both and gave it a Jimmy Buffet-style reggae beat. A slower cowpunk ballad about life in the holler — working long hours at the factory, raising a family in a single-wide trailer, and dreaming of just a little more room. Double-Wide Dreams is both a love song to Appalachia and an honest reflection on the struggles of making ends meet. It’s about staying rooted in the mountains while chasing a better life for your kids.
