Fresh from Deezer, Youtube and radio station playlist support on her previous single Eat You Alive, South West London based singer GG Sargeant releases her latest single Love Bomb on the 14th June 2019.

Produced by Paddy Hunt (MiC LOWRY, Pegasus, DJ SKT) with additional production and mix by South African chart topping DJ and producer Das Kapital, this release goes four to the floor with a vocal House belter that describes dating today.

“Being "love bombed" is a term psychologists use to describe how narcissists use psychological manipulation while dating” explains GG.  

“You meet someone who showers you with excessive affection, attention and validation from the get go, in order to gain control or heavily influence your behaviour. 

As soon as you feel secure in the relationship, the narcissist has an abrupt shift in behaviour through means of ghosting, abusive language, and difficult behaviour. 

The person who once idolised you, starts to devalue your existence and BOOM, you've been love bombed!"

Paddy picks up the production story “Love Bomb came about from the very first session I did with GG.  It was great as she came in with the concept already prepared.  She told me the story behind it and we laughed and joked around about the trials and tribulations of dating in the modern social media obsessed world.  After chatting about all this and having the concept in place it made making the backing track easy as we knew it had to have attitude.  GG wanted it to be a banger and full of energy so I knew I had to keep the track up tempo and for the music to match the sassiness of GG's lyrics and vocal delivery.”

“Although it's about a serious topic, I wanted the production to be up beat and fun, as it aims to give the power back to those who felt powerless.  Paddy Hunt and Das Kapital helped me bring my vision to life through their incredible production and were a dream to work with.”

Northampton’s unsung production talent Spookzville has turned his production skills from writing the theme to The Big Narstie Show to remixing GG Sargeant’s Love Bomb, creating a UKG 2-Step Banger.

“As soon as I heard the original I was excited to take the song in a different direction for the remix” says Spookzville.  “I knew exactly where I wanted to take it while keeping the same energy as the original track”  

The results speak for themselves, with a stomping take in the resurgent old school UKG 2 Step Garage sound made famous by Bump N Flex, Wookie and recently revived by Bristol’s Conducta, the producer of AJ Tracey’s recent hit Ladbroke Grove.

“I love it, love it, love it!” exclaims GG “I haven’t stopped playing it since I first heard it, Spookzville is so unassuming when you meet him and then he delivers this remix; it nearly broke my speakers the bass is so heavy, but the touches and melody work so well with my vocals, I’m so happy with what he has done”

The lyrics see GG examine modern dating and the rise of manipulative narcissists, of which GG has had personal experience.

“This song has been cathartic as it has helped me process the heartache of my last relationship.  I write songs with the aim of helping others who may have been through similar situations, as music can change your emotional state.  That’s why I love what I do so much, and this was such an easy song for me to write and the lyrics poured out of me in one session, and gave me a form of strength I didn't know I had in me a year or two ago.”

This has now been picked up for a popular netflix series just in time for GG’s third release ‘No Pinocchio’. 
Working with the likes of Si Hulbert (who has worked with the likes of direction, Ed Sheehan and had a number one bit recently with Dido), GG has lots of new music on the way supported by household names.

 "Both my Dad and Step Dad were DJ's growing up. Our house was always filled with a wide variety of music, so I spent most of my childhood jumping on the bed, dancing and singing at the top of my lungs.  My influences come from a wide spread of genres and times. Being a mixed artist with dual heritage, who was recently diagnose with ADHD (which is my superpower!), has confirmed how important it is for me to continue making music I love, without being boxed in based on race, gender or ability"
