SR & Digbee return to Ghetto Dub after a few years away with their long-awaited Alternate Realities EP. Following their appearance on the Ghetto Dubz Vol 2 album back in 2019 with the track 'Dancehall,' this marks their first release as a duo since then.

The Alternate Realities EP is a journey through diverse yet cohesive Jungle vibes. Each track brings something different to the table, yet they all share a common energy that makes them flow perfectly as a whole. The opener, 'Runnin',' is a high-energy roller, featuring wicked Amen chops and ragga vocals that demand attention. 'Bristol Bass' takes listeners back to the gritty, bass-heavy sound of early Bristol drum & bass, evoking the spirit of the scene's pioneering days. On the flip side, 'Take Me' is a laid-back yet vibey offering with melodic layers, while 'Violet Eyes' takes a more chill, atmospheric approach, perfect for those late-night sessions.

This release brings SR & Digbee back to the sound they're known for, drawing on influences from their past work like the iconic 'Nostromo.' Fans will recognize the return of that raw energy, but with a new level of maturity and refinement in their sound.

It is with great pleasure that we present GWAX003, the first in a brand-new series of solo artist EPs on Ghetto Wax — and there was only ever one artist we wanted to kick this chapter off with.
The legend that is Ricky Force.

A name synonymous with raw Jungle pressure and deep-rooted rave bangers, Ricky Force delivers a four-track EP that does exactly what Ghetto Wax is about: heavyweight breakbeats, serious low-end and atmosphere in abundance — all cut with authenticity and intent.

The title track “Neuroplasticity” opens the EP in emphatic style. An amen-driven monster, propelled by razor-sharp edits, deep subs and a mesmerising arpeggiator that weaves its way through the track, creating a hypnotic, almost meditative energy while still smashing the dancefloor.

Next up, “Firehouse Skank” switches the vibe into full steppaz territory. A rugged riddim built around rolling drums, a ragga-style vocal, and all the right ingredients — dubby horns, echoes and delays floating effortlessly over warm, heavenly pads. Classic Jungle attitude with a modern edge.

“Prisoner” takes things back into amen territory, rolling deep and relentless. Tribal Jungle influences run throughout, with animal calls and bird effects adding texture and movement, giving the track an organic, almost primal feel while keeping the momentum locked from start to finish.

Closing the EP is “Slow Down”, which starts with a skanking guitar intro soaked in dubbed-out vibes before flipping the script entirely. When the drop hits, reece bass and 808s go head-to-head in a heavyweight Drum & Bass roller — a proper late-night weapon that bridges Jungle roots with modern sound system pressure.

First in the new series of remixes and refixes. Starting off with 4 tracks taken from the recent Ghetto Dubz Vol 1 album. 

Kicking off with Brian Brainstorm's NUH MATTA with Dubtime on the remix. Staying very true to the original this funked up roller is teeming with old skool vibes.  With its obligatory hoover sounds along with the street tuff vox this tune encapsulates an authentic jungle sound and is a credit to the original mix. Then on to Kumarachi and his killer track BLACKOUT. The original was a dancefloor bomb which didn’t really need improvement but Sound Shifter has added his own unique blend of spicy flavours and made it even more of a killer. An eerie intro leads us into a feast of chopped up drumz and rude boy bass sounds which are enough to wake the dead, while the underlying riff allows a dark skank out vibe to permeate through the track. Secure Unit's LIONHEART BIZZNESS has been given a brain scrambling remix by X-E-Dos which adds his own edgy, dark and techy trademark style to Secure Units innovative and experimental madness. Look out for his 6 track EP coming very soon. Then the icing on the cake is Sections reworking of Sympton's STAY TOUGH. The original was a brutal assault on the senses and this is no different in that respect. The beats are a bit more lively making it a straight up hard-stepper which grabs a hold of you by the throat and shakes the hell out of you, serving up a gutsy dark b-line which you cant ignore.

Ikon B & Crisis are next up and what they have done with Sanxion’s DOPE STORIES tune is nothing short of epic. Keeping the feel of the original but taking it up a level. Deep and dark vibes next from Ghetto Dub’s very own Secure Unit who has tackled MUSICAL RUSH and made it a real heads-down bass bin shaking monster of a track, not for the faint hearted. New EP series from Ghetto Dub HQ. Rugged Riddimz Vol 1 kicks off with SOUND SHIFTER’s erie darkside roller “Project Q” which echos the sound of jungles history with its heavily chopped up amen breaks and samples from the past. RASSTERLIN, head honcho behind the mighty Asbo imprint comes in hard and takes you on a journey that swings and sways through dark atmospherics, reggae skanks and a vocal that oozes dancehall lava. Definitely one for the “heads”. Next comes the unmistakable sounds of SUBCRIMINAL, fresh from his recent “Raised In The Hood” EP delivering a real bouncing dancefloor smasher with a cheeky steppa style beat and some cool reggae vocals reminiscent of the Clashes “Armageddon Time”. It's simply impossible not to jump around when the bassline drops. GALVATRON’s “Bam Bada” finally sees the light of day after a year of slaying down the dance on dub. Utilising his trademark heavily chopped up amen breaks and a dark rumbling reese bass, combined with that mesmerising female vocal, this tune goes off and is immense fun to mix with! A classic (and slightly cheeky) jungle sample ignites the proceeding on this final track by the man they call DUBTIME. We all know that intro, but when the drop comes it is not quite what you were expecting but you love it anyway. Deep rushy vibes with all the right ingredients to make this a real “Heads down” roller of a tune.
