Roi Omer - My Roots

Chicago-born, LA-based L3NA delivers Bad Reaction, an EP that refuses to stay in one lane. She drags you from infectious indie dance into funky hard grooves, then straight into dark techno territory before closing with emotionally-charged melodic moments that hit harder than expected. Throughout it all, L3NAs vocals are fiery, confident, and decidedly not for the faint-hearted. L3NA QWERKS!
1. When did you start making music?
I started drafting melodies on the piano when I was five, and when I was like 12, I started writing emo lyrics that I thought were super deep to accompany those little ballads. At the end of 2023, I decided to enroll into Cosmic Academy and give it all a go again, and I think I made the right decision.

2. What makes YOU qwerky?
I'm obsessed with the idea of quests to the point where to get through boring things, I need to envision that I'm on a quest or playing a game, and my win will be presented to the leader, or else it isn't getting done. Struggles of ADHD.

3. If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?
Shego, Raven from teen titans, or any dark sexy bitch

4. What’s your favorite sound?
the sound of a microwave when it's done with the food I'm reheating at 3 am

5. You’re making dinner at your house… what’s on the menu?
Hot pot, complete with beef tendon meatballs, potato noodles, and sake for those who partake.

6. Who are 3 people you’d invite? (from any time period)
The father son and holy ghost so I can convince them to let me in

L3NA, AIR APPARENT - Better Than Any1 [QRK033]

Okay, so this instrumental my goal was to hit 8 lufs with my mastering. I was having a hard time hitting 8 lufs prior to today. I tried a different rotation with what I use for mixing my tracks, it did the trick. 

It brought the track from a default 15 Lufs, to 5 Lufs. pretty crazy. It made a good looking image of dynamics, turn black haha. 

During Mastering I applied a different rotation, and added another plugin to my mastering. The end results are very powerful. 8 LUFS.

8 Lufs was my goal, I achieved it. Now I will work to fine tune this sound for an even better clarity!
