We spoke to Myrtle Clarke, one half of what the media dubbed the “Dagga Couple" about their campaign to have the recreational use of Dagga legalized in South Africa.
Jules & Myrtle are suing 7 government departments on charges of enacting unlawful laws:the legal challenge is across what they call the “The Four Platforms”- these include Health, Personal, Religious and Industrial uses.They will challenge the constitutionality of sections 4(b), 5(b) and Part III of Schedule 2 of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, 1992, as it pertains to Dagga.
"The trial of the plant" kicks off in 2017 and we got some insight into the case.
We sat down at the Jazzfarm and held a reasoning...
