‘HAVE YOU EVER DROWNED?’, a new single by GHiA and GREYFIELD WOODS, where the influence of Tricky is palpable on the smouldering downtempo loops and haunting microsamples.  The unorthodox 11/4 time signature coupled with hypnotic rim shots makes the track feel subliminally disjointed, while a sample of a ticking travel alarm clock in lieu of hi hats, warped reverbs, and dystopian synths combine to heighten the tension, coupled with sultry, haunting vocals that candidly confess the reason for existence in this unsympathetic world.

'Have You Ever Drowned?' is the opening track of a compilation by various international artists, around the debut Greyfield Woods album ‘Sankta’ Lucia remixed to be released in May.

Singing and songwriting is my thing but i've up skilled to a fair amount of production over the years. My previous catalogue had an alternate electronica sound with live instrumentation, drawing from trip-hop, lo-fi, hip hop, funk and a bit of rock. I have a thing for dark sounding film score.  Lately i've become fascinated by the powerful effects of binaural/Isochronic beats and solfeggio frequencies deciding to investigate this further incorporating my love of sound design. I've been exploring, incorporating elements of my sound journey's ambient sonics fused with Neo soul, jazz & R&B influences which is how my lates single has come into existence.
