GHIIA. Singer-songwriter currently based in Moscow. Starting as a solo singer and lyrics author in 2007, he later turned to writing songs, being inspired by great soul tunes with electronic input added.

THE SEA, GHIIA’s first single and title song from the EP, is a powerful, nostalgic reminiscence back from his childhood, where he grew up surrounded by the Black Sea in the beautiful town of Gagra. This attachment to his roots alongside a mix of feelings he has come through, make GHIIA’s songs sound even more distinctive and recognizable.

THE SEA - EP was recorded and produced by Andrei Samsonov, a St.Petersburg residing  sound producer with a solid music background, including releases on Mute Records and works with such artists as Nick Cave, Mark Almond, and Zemfira.
