BIO:

Montreal-based media composer Ghislain Leclant completed a B.Mus. in Composition at the Université de Montréal and a DESS in Film scoring at Université du Québec à Montréal after early studies in piano and orchestration in Paris, France. He perfected his technique between Canada and Europe with various workshops (Bozzini composer’s kitchen, Aubagne Film Festival MasterClass, Maison du film’s Trio residency) and mentors like Michel Cusson, Bruno Coulais or Jean-Michel Bernard.

After touring extensively during 5 years with several bands as a keyboardist and arranger, he focused on media music. His primary passion for motion pictures and electronic music mixed with strong orchestral assets leads him to be very versatile and dedicated to every projects. His numerous soundtracks credits includes 360° immersive films for the planetarium of Paris and Montreal SAT, multimedia shows by Moment Factory and Disney, festival nominated short-films (Cannes Film Festival, Rendez-Vous Québec Cinéma), documentaries (TV5, Arte, France Televisions, MAtv) as well as series and commercials for web and tv.

Alongside media music, he works as an arranger/orchestrator for different ensembles from pop music (Mommies on the Run) and chamber music (Bozzini Quartet, Octuor de France) to symphonic orchestras (Montreal Orchestra Company) and develop his own instrumental projects.
