With 'HEARTBEAT / PLAN', LEAP continues to reimagine the "lamp aesthetics" of the 80s, infusing their music with a contemporary twist that resonates with today’s listeners. These tracks emerged serendipitously in LEAP's creative process and is grateful for the opportunity to breathe new life into them, adapting the sound to current Italo/Disco trends while preserving their original spirit.

LEAP shares: "As soon as I heard these tracks, I felt a strong desire to adapt them for today's Italo/Disco scene. I aimed to keep their unique essence while adding my own touch. I hope every listener discovers something new and intriguing in them. Perhaps some might even want to revisit the originals, which are truly peerless. 2024 has been a big year for Geoff Kirkwood, better known as Man Power. With huge EPs released on labels like Rekids, Make A Dance, Hypercolour, Sound As, and Me Me Me, he’s been as prolific as ever. In addition, he was invited to deliver both the RA Podcast and the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, just two months apart.

Kirkwood has also launched his own venue, Are You Affiliated, in North Shields, where he’s hosted standout acts such as Caribou, Optimo, and Gerd Janson. On the DJ circuit, he’s been seen playing back-to-back sets alongside heavyweights like Skream, Special Request, La La, Daniel Avery, Ewan McVicar, Artwork, and Erol Alkan.

Globally, he’s returned to an intense touring schedule, gracing stages across Europe, the US, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Highlights include playing at Berghain’s iconic Lab.Oratory, Hi Ibiza, and DJ Harvey’s Klymax club in Bali.

With a new FM radio residency, an upcoming nationwide UK tour, and an Ibiza residency soon to be announced, 2024 is shaping up to be a monumental year for Man Power.
