Once upon a time I went to a bar right after work still covered in dirt. I met a cutie boy and we hit it off immediately, I'd even say we were VIBING. He jokingly made fun of my 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬, calling them "𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬". We made plans for the following night and I was so excited I couldn’t sleep. ⁣

Turns out his ex gf found out about our date, got jealous, and forced him to cancel. 𝗪𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 :)))) ⁣ His ex sent me threats for a week after that.

I saw him out around BK a few months later and he 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐞'𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐭. I biked home crying and wrote this song to the beat of my pedaling. This was so long ago it’s really fine but, the song slapped so 💁🏻‍♀️

I wrote this last August with tears running down my face.
I was supposed to release this but could never bring myself to and now I can hardly sing it. Instead I'd like to treat it like a journal entry and leave it behind in 2017.

This song serves as a letter I wrote. He was on tour, he hadn't called in months, and while he was gone I stopped getting my period. I didn't have the nerve to call him and tell him that, so instead I wrote this song as an outline of all the things I'd tell him if he aver asked me how I was doing. 

I am proud of this song, and of all of the people that have faced a scare, had to consider abortion, tried inducing abortion because of lack of funds or lack of support, or went through with an abortion alone.
