"Catch Of The Day" is the second single off Sally Seltmann's "Hey Daydreamer", the Australian singer-songwriter's fourth album for Arts & Crafts, including two under the moniker New Buffalo. "Hey Daydreamer" was produced with the collaboration of her husband Darren Seltmann (The Avalanches). Sally is well-known for having co-written Feist's hit "1,2,3,4", and is also a member of Seeker Lover Keeper. "Hey Daydreamer" is Sally's most fully realized work to date, with pervasive melodies and lush but perfectly measured instrumentation intermingling in bright, vibrant environments.

This time, I want to pay tribute to those great artists who barely enjoyed visibility in their time, having made such incredible, underground synth pieces that perhaps the public wasn't ready for at the time, or their songs were so personal that they didn't care about public opinion. In any case, I wanted to rescue some pieces by editing them, including an instrument or polishing them a bit, trying to respect their original vision as much as possible. In the editing process, I discover how the artists make the songs. I learn a lot from them and their way of composing, and it helps me a lot to continue growing as an artist.

I wrote this track as a tribute for a friend who is sadly no longer with us. Her time here was cut short. But because of every one of you, her energy travels around the world every day.
