Initially written to be a midway-point for the album, but I decided it fit better in xempr than it did here. Glad I stuck with my gut on that one but I figured it deserved to wind up back here for my self release version!

This track was so old up until I finally finished it. I probably made the initial loop back in March or April of 2020. Not initially planned to be inserted but definitely made around the same time as this. Also, Made this cover inspired by a used dreamcast disc insert that I saw at a local used game store.

Wanted to give something a bit Garage-y a shot. Ofc not my best work, even after doing some pretty decent Future Garage in the distant past. Still okay though. Vibes and memories of making this y'know?

Kinda just wanted to make something that was a blend of y2k sound yknow? House, Jungle, bit of Trance maybe? Called the style Neocore for a while, but I just accept this as Breakcore tbh. I kinda admire breakcore a lot actually.

Up until I realized most people would call this Breakcore, Tulsi and I couldn't figure out the genre title to this for the life of us.

4. Matsuri (feat. Tulsi)

Used to heavily fw Vaperror's Mana Pool LP back in the day so I kinda just wanted to make something mimicking that good ol Vaportrap sound. (Vaportrap can be y2k too damnit!!)

3. Tidal Pool

I had just received the wheel up signal when I made this. I did some tooling around and thought it might could be turned into a cool pad with some reverb applied. The rest is history. This one is super duper heavily inspired by Squarepusher's Tundra! Really discovered what that man did for Jungle and Breakcore through his debut LP 'Feed Me Weird Things'. Brilliant producer and bassist!
