Day 1 of the 7 Days of VGM September challenge: Giant Robots.
This piece is supposed to be about summoning or activating a giant robot or mecha. At first I was thinking about a giant, rusted mecha reactivating and plodding towards a battlefield, but then I started to imagine the scene being almost like a religious ceremony, with the pilot's mind being uploaded into the mecha's computer. I used a Spitfire Audio choir plugin for the main motif, but with a bitcrusher FX gradually increasing and modulating the depth, to try to evoke that image of the pilot melding with the machine.

This one is about the robot coming 'back to life' and presumably saving the day. Cheesy synth line incoming...

Day 6 - Rebirth

We've returned from the scrap heap, better than ever. You might even say....unscrappable.

This track is for the end credits. I made this a short version, as end credits on games tend to scroll for a long time, but there are repeatable sections in here.
I tried out a new trick - putting a noise gate on the bass/synth sidechained to the drums, to create an interesting pattern.
