Gold Coast 1986

One of those tracks that you start and everything comes together automatically. Started and finished this yesterday and had alot of fun throughout the whole process. I cut up some samples from Carl Sagan's pale blue dot speech without music which you can find on youtube.

I was really trying to make something new and exciting with this one. Ive been working on the chord progression for a while and finally nailed down some catchy melodies that really completed the song. I was trying to make a neat contrast of sounds for the chorus part by using beautiful sounding treble and aggressive dirty bass. I think the effect came out nicely. Everything I used besides some samples are all Ableton live9 suite stock plugins.     

Chasing Summer

Sometimes in life your going along and all of a sudden you decide take a completely different direction. Well this is me doing just that with my music.  Overall my goal was to make something "cool" so playing a heavy blues riff, distortion and a handful of Industrial samples led me to this beast of a song.  Song is in the key of C and is 117 Bpm.

Neon Dreams

Please Comment , Like , Repost and Follow for good karma. The weekend wasn't long enough to finish this track , thats why it took me two months to get it right. I broke Ill Gates. twenty one hour rule* because I wrote a chord progression that I really liked and had to make it a complete song.  *(the 21 hour rule is if you don't finish a track in 21 hours you scrap it for parts and move on with your life BTW). I think the time was well spent as there is alot of cool things going on. Re listening to Pink Floyds, Dark Side of the Moon was inspirational because what those guys achieved with 16 tracks , a 1970's era mixer some tape loops and basic effects still holds up today as an amazing recording. And to anyone reading this , Keep learning new things , we are lucky to live in the information age where knowledge is a click away. 

The Weekend (Is Not Long Enough)

Just a quick Edit of a classic song, I did for a friend today.  Started and finished it in 6 hours. Think it turned out pretty rocking. Could be great for a live show.
