Sounding like something to come out of Solar Records in 1984, Aeroplane has an instant classic on his hands with this timeless record ‘Love On Hold’. The record embraces Aeroplane’s typically exquisite attention to detail, resulting in a perfect blend of disco, 80s funk and boogie. For the vocals to sound truly authentic, Aeroplane tracked down the iconic voice of Tawatha Agee. Not only is Tawatha one of the greatest backing vocalist of our time, singing with Luther Vandross, Kashif or David Bowie to name a few, but she is also the voice of funk legendary band Mtume, singing on their 1983 classic ‘Juicy Fruit’. The credentials of Tawatha’s richly poised voice coupled with Aeroplane’s flawless composition make ‘Love On Hold’ unmissable.

Given how many re-edit releases he's had over the last few years, you have to wonder whether Rayko will soon run out of fresh scalpel material. Thankfully, he's not reached the 'barrel-scraping' stage, as this breezy two-tracker proves. "Enjoy Your Life" is the epitome of summery disco-soul, all shuffling beats, addictive vocals, darting strings and wiggly funk guitars; it's the sort of thing that should be booming out of a boat party soundsystem somewhere in the Adriatic. "Emotion", meanwhile, sees Rayki return to his love of electrofunk drums, turning a synth bass-laden disco jam into a touchy-feely instrumental delight.
