Recording during the "Field Recordings of..." sessions at the former Atlantis Studios in Melbourne with Lee Cardan behind the desk. Mastered by Loki Lockwood at Spooky Hollow. 

Infinite Worth was left off the final version of the E.P. The song often closed the bands sets at gigs around that time, and has been dusted off for release to celebrate the end of what has been a difficult couple of years for us all.

Taken from the forthcoming EP “Other Places”, this track was born out of a last minute idea to try merging two songs the band had kicking around whilst in the studio. 

With most songs from the album taking Ghost Towns sound in new directions, this song serves as a stripped back, slow kiss goodnight to send you off at the end.

Recorded during the "Home" EP Sessions, this is the full band version of a song that never made it to the final EP.

During the Covid-19 lockdown Cam was doing some rummaging and found the mastered version, and decided to release it as a single.

Ghost Towns of the Midwest launched their debut EP "Field Recordings" in 2014, to a humbling response from both RRRFM & PBSFM, in particular receiving weekly spins from ex station manager "The Ghost" himself, Stephen Walker, aswell as enjoying glowing reviews & national plays on Triple J’s "Roots n All" program.

Follow up EP "Home" saw the band's darker, more subtle side emerge over the 6 tracks, and their cover of Arcade Fire's "Sprawl II - Mountains Beyond Mountains" received upwards of 4000 plays on Spotify. 

Their latest EP "Other Places" was recorded in 2019 and delayed due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The band released it digitally in November 2020 with a vinyl version shortly after. 

The album strikes a new day in the bands sound, with the songs allowing singer Cam's storytelling to shine as he takes you from the city, through the suburbs and leaves you somewhere way off the beaten Americana track.

The group have been spending the last year in their new studio working on a full length album. A surprise Christmas song “Feels Like Christmas” was released in December 2023 and 2024 will see an outpouring of new material throughout the year. 

The group was formed by singer-songwriter Cam Ewart, who cut his teeth sharing dusty stages with The Drones, Don Walker, Tim Rogers & other Australian singer/songwriter icons.

The 5-piece band melds both beautiful & barroom vocal harmonies over acoustic guitars, bass, piano, violin, harmonica & drums to create a sound that goes from upbeat boot stompers to bar room ballads. The group includes friends Cam has performed with in various bands for over 20 years.
