“healing” begins to open up from the haze that “fog” leaves. The title has a lot of meaning behind this one, laced with distant vocals telling you to “let the healing into your heart”. The track encapsulates the title of the EP, an emotional shift towards happiness, peace of mind, hope, and (some) clarity. This track was written with a lot of personal hardships on CD’s mind from a recent relationship, and always pictured being entranced by it at the end of a long set in the club.

"Gospel Jam" thrives on the roots of soul, gospel and house music. Built around powerful vocals, the song provokes immediate emotion, enhanced by an electronic rhythm and groovy bass line. Voluntarily lo-fi in its aesthetics, "Gospel Jam" is a tribute to the classic house from Detroit, but also to the French touch, as the whole EP "It Must Be Funky". Melancholic and energetic, "Gospel Jam" was imagined as a wild DJ set ending, when the desire to enjoy the present moment joins the memories.

Le groupe se forme au hasard d’une rencontre dans les rues de Paris. C’est le choc de 2 univers distincts. 

Christophe le musicien, d’origine Clermontoise, guitariste/pianiste aux influences rock progressives et rétro-synthé, est également compositeur et chanteur. William, originaire du Finistère, graphiste et créateur du webzine Mouvement Planant, s’inspire quant à lui de beat à 90 bpm d’origines trip-hop qu’il confronte à son propre univers expérimental.

Ses inspirations diverses offrent à GHOSTWRITERS un univers lunaire et transversal, teinté de noir et de blanc, une ode à un passé voguant au rythme d’une vague sinusoïdale. Le projet Ghostwriters est un laboratoire de recherche et d’idées fantomatiques, où se mêlent musique, visuel et sentiment.
