Fortress Of The Rebel Soul (BWR/12) is a guest compilation album inspired by the 'Music To Have A Rebellion' shows which were hosted by Sean M Kilpatrick (n0mad 23), which ran as a special on Loop Radio in 2014. The show featured a few of our label`s own resident artists as well as members from the 'Dub Guild' - the same members we have featured on this album alongside some new guest artists, each bringing their own individual style and flavour. 

Sticking with the 'Music to have a rebellion to' theme, all artists involved created an exclusive track based in and around this concept; music that will make the listener want to rise up and make a stand.. widespread poverty, fascism, political corruption... what better way lift the depression than through the language of Dub and Reggae music. It is such a positive force and a great medium for relaying positive messages.

 

Featuring music by Negritage, Kandee Dub, Karl Jahsper, Silverpaw, Madi Simmons, Ultrabase, Julian Burger, Riviera Rockers, Dub Across Borders, Salook, Arkeyetexture and VisionarSoundSystem.

We are happy to announce our next release, a new digital coming to town and our first release with the producer Kamaha and the veteran singer Mikey General. 

Kamaha is an upcoming 80s digital influenced producer, originally from Ireland but currently based in Bristol, UK. Some of his main influences are Gussie Clarke, King Tubby, Prince Jammy, Michael Bennett, Ossie Hibbert, Manasseh, Conscious Sounds among others. We had is first release on Digi-Tal imprint from the renowned producer Dougie Conscious. 

On the microphone comes the veteran Mikey General, who doesn't need any introductions. A legendary singer with a huge portfolio of releases and who has worked with some of the biggest producers and reggae labels worldwide. 

A 7" release, on the A side the track called "Soundclash" and on the B side the "version" by Kamaha.
