Coming this September to Tomi & Kesh's NoZzo Music, Costa Rican artist Newball delivers two original cuts supplemented by the label frontmen on remix duties for 'Fantasy'. The Boruka Records co-owner has impressed on a wealth of respected Tech House labels to date, so we are delighted to have him join us for his NoZzo label debut.

Jumping straight in, 'Fantasy' bursts to life with an uptempo bed of thudding kicks and rattling percussive elements. Driving sub-bass notes and offbeat fills inject even more enthusiasm into the track before piecing it all together with an iconic and masterfully constructed soulful female vocal topline.

Tomi & Kesh's remix follows up with a more laid-back spin on the title track. Emphasising groove over punch, its progressively satisfying rhythmic underbelly and climactic breakdowns slide effortlessly through highs and lows to deliver a 'hands up' terrace roller for the masses. 

Closing off the release, 'Block Party' strikes a pleasant bounce from the outset. Another potent base of drums and sizzling hat sequences lay the foundations for its subtle melodic elements to follow. Funky from start to finish, with ample servings of soul and flavour throughout.

Next up on Kaluki this September, we are welcoming another two label newcomers, in the form of Peruvian DJs and producers, Nicolas Caprile and Chinonegro who join forces to present the brand new, 'Sabor Latino' EP. Influenced by Minimal and Tech House grooves, these two friends and collaborators have seen their releases prosper on some of the biggest labels in the scene including elrow, Glasgow Underground, Great Stuff, Lapsus, NONSTOP, Stereo and more as well as playing sets alongside the likes of Phil Weeks, Coyu, Javi Bora, Olivier Giacomotto, Sebastian Leger and German Brigante. The dancefloor focused 'Sabor Latino' EP showcases both artists unique sound offering deep, melodic grooves, organic drums, hooky arpeggio bass leads, hypnotic atmospherics and chopped vocal shots throughout. Completing the EP is a fantastic rework of the titular track from none other than Darius Syrossian who adds his own stamp and flavour to the record offering a chunky minimal cut with smeared pads, pulsating subs, stripped-back bassline, sophisticated synth patterns and kinetic drum programming that gives the record the perfect bounce.

Sigua

The next release on Libero comes by way of up and coming Italian producer, Ettore Pagani (Deeperfect). His ‘Move On’ EP features two robust originals and an impressive remix from label head Mike Morrisey.

‘Move On’ opens proceedings with plenty of Libero flavour straight off the bat. Underground, percussion-driven tech house, weighty in structure with pulsating low frequencies throughout. Added to that, a seductive female vocal presence, giving the track a perfect mixture of flavours.

Mike Morrisey’s Remix of the title track supplies a piercing level of groove. Punchy drums and tonal percussion marry up with a rolling sub melody, ready and ripe for even the biggest of club spaces. Notably creative constructions during the transitions in this track give it some real dancefloor appeal.

Rounding things off, ‘Rush’ balances earthly lows with crisp highs. Another rolling, club-ready heater with swung rhythms and subtle melodic factors. All tied up nicely with creative vocal shots and plenty of atmospherics throughout.
