Gisil - mixing new Techno/ EBM 2024

HIV+ is the alter ego of Pedro Peñas, a multifaceted artist who has been working since the mid-80s as a DJ, musician, singer, writer and visual artist. He is also the owner of Unknown Pleasures Records and a loyal collaborator on some of Industrial Complexx's projects.

The fourth chapter in the series of guest mixes is by this artist. The set he has prepared for Industrial Complexx shows HIV's style and evolution. Here is his selection:

RAWMANTIC - is a DJ/Producer based in Greece. Starting in 2022 as a DJ, he later discovered his passion for producing. His music does not identify with a specific genre but is a combination of various genres, using DIY & experimental techniques and equipment. The subject matter of his music describes the dirty and realistic side of society emphasizing on the beautiful side of it.

Daymon Kiliman (he/him) (aka, Luct Melod) hails from Illinois, USA. He makes dark music heavily influenced by Post-Industrial and EBM sounds. He objects to the status quo that promotes violence, exploitation, and terror to serve the interests of a few. He has an affinity for DOS-based trackers, obscure EBM vinyl, and the 1995 movie Hackers.

Yuega, pseudonym used by Nicolò Stefanelli, a Bologna-based (IT) Dj and Producer.

Started years before the 2020 pandemic, focusing on releasing limited-edition DIY tapes.

His sound is a contemporary interpretation of the experimental of the 1980s, a crossover beetwen to the paranoia of the current clubbing scene and roots of the electronic music.

Through his music, he embarks on a nostalgic yet forward-thinking voyage, melding vintage impulses with modern concepts. Constant exploration of record store shelves has forged a profound vision of his artistic identity.

Yuega's project is a intersection of Electro, Industrial, and Wave genres.

Originally from CDMX, she has a track record since 2013. Alcyonek has been co-founder of other concepts that at the time were directed to the minimal synth scene, mixing these genres with Italian waves, new beat and incorporating sounds from the dark discotheque.

DJ Alcyonek is the founder of the new party, Sintetika Secuencia, which Her DJ sets cover everything from Minimal Synth, Dark wave , Underground Electronics, New Beat, EBM, Dark Synth, Dark Disco, Italo Disco, IBM, Obscure 80's, New Wave, NDW, Techno etc.,

From Hell to Disco - #010 - Alcyonek

Giba Reys started producing electronic music since 1992 with the electro-industrial project “Homicidal Feelings” with the cassette “Morbid Future” on the reference label of the genre “Cri Du Chat Disques”

In the 2000s, with the electronic music revolution, he had several projects in the Psytrance / Proggy / Lounge line "The Oscillations", "Nydra" and "Zero Axis" where he performed at major festivals such as XXXPERIENCE Festival, Dime tribe ... in addition to some records.

In 2006 he presented his electro project “Play Kiddo” where he recorded the remix for the Franco-Brazilian Synthwave band “3 Cold Man” alongside the Techno icon “Rodolfo Wehbba”. With him projects he made presentations in the main houses of São Paulo as D-edge.
In 2014 until 2016 he returns with the project “Homicidal Feelings where he releases two Compact discs by the Hungarian label Advoxya Records and some collections and remixes for bands from Scandinavia and Russia. The best moment was the live performance at the “Machina” Festival opening for the “Leather Strip” project.

In 2018 he delved into the universe of professional audio, studying at the Instituto de Audio e Video (I.A.V) in São Paulo and C.A.A.S Comunidade de Audio André Salata, where he studied the structures of the “Techno” aspect, having great names as tutors such as: Vinicius Honorio and KaioBarssalos, and thus the “Gisil” project focused on Techno/EBM/Synthwave.
