"Darkside is utterly sincere," said Tony Naylor in his RA review, "and at its most fractured and psychedelic, Harrington's guitar lends a smoky, mysterious dimension to Jaar's slinky electronica." "Paper Trails" is the record's dazzling midpoint, and in the first RA Sessions film, recorded at RA's HQ, Jaar and Harrington sank a couple of whiskeys and subtly teased the track out to twice its original length.
