Having last graced Etruria Beat with his excellent ‘Peruana’ EP, backed by remixes from Twr72 and label boss Luca Agnelli and following a strong release on Pfirter's MindTrip imprint; home grown talent Diego Amura returns to the label with his ‘Phalaina’ EP, featuring two new originals backed by a brace of heavyweight remixes.
The title track with its violent kick and rough bass receives not one, but two remixes from UK techno pioneer Ben Sims. Two different interpretations in his Spacey and Jackin’ remixes that both deliver intense grooves, spacey synths and thumping beats.
Diego’s ‘Euphausia’ with its strong 909 groove and hypnotic flavour is reworked by Figure, Clergy artist and SK_eleven boss Setaoc Mass, who delivers a stripped, but imposing offering that will ignite any dancefloor.

The X Vinyl Series continues with label head Florian Meindl at the helm with the upcoming release Metaphysics. Synonymous with deep, dark techno, Florian does not disappoint with this 4 track EP, enlisting in demand producer and Rabe label boss Denise Rabe on remixing duties. Playing live with his Modular Synth set up, Florian began working on the concept for what would become these three original tracks while playing shows over the last month. The live jam character can clearly be felt in the first two tracks Metaphysics and Holomorphic Function. Florians original Bell's Theorem has a deep melodic structure. With Denise Rabes interpretation, the track is contorted through some serious distortion pedals and broken beat to match her dark take on the synth line. The outcome is an impressive piece for one of those never ending nights in concrete walled rooms with oversized loudspeakers.

The legendary duo The Filterheadz from Belgium debut on Mavic Music with two powerhouse tracks extensively road tested and guaranteed for the dance floor. 

The lead track "Infinite" starts with a powerful rolling baseline, kick and sneaky distorted stabs and a timeless vocal before breaking down into a sensuous pad that sits underneath hoover'esqe like leads, screaming rides and effects that carry the music to the finish line. "Locomotive" on the flip side starts off with drips of acid and stabs creating maximum intensity from the first few bars. Berlin-based Irish artist Hybrasil delivers a high-grade debut album on Radio Slave’s Rekids. Since moving to Berlin Hybrasil has been an avid buyer of records at Hardwax, going to modular workshops at the cult Schneidersladen, attending Superbooth and Berlin Atonal, Panorama Bar and Berghain, whilst releasing his big, arresting techno sounds on his own eponymous label. Alongside this he’s been spending time in the studio with Radio Slave, who played Hybrasil's ‘Hathor’ in Panorama Bar which kicked off a three-month burst of creativity that led to this album. As such, the album is very much a product of the artist's time in Berlin and was written for the Panorama Bar and Berghain sound system and all who attend its dance halls.

The album takes off with the smooth rolling techno of'Hathor'; that gets you on your toes, while 'Come Back'; soon ups the ante thanks to the way Hybrasil twists and turns his synths above the rooted kick drums. 'Ceres'; then has edgy sustained chords and thunderous claps that will sound mega in a cavernous warehouse space.

'Orpeheus'; is a masterclass in economical but effective techno, with well-crafted hi hats, rolling kicks and vocal stabs all driving it forward. 'Ursa Minor'; traps the listener in unresolved loops that keep a locked groove, until 'Messier'; mixes up seriously weighty bass-drum thuds and Jeff Mills style melodic minimalism. The compelling LP completes with 'Igigi'; and 'Vela', two more astral techno rollers with celestial synths and devastating drum programming.
