In the current period, the freshness of spring is now slowly receding and fully replaced by the passionate heat of the summer season. An extended mix from Rrose to celebrate our entry into 2023 and the upcoming release of TULIP SPACE [EAUX1591] available for pre-order now at https://eaux.ro/album/tulip-space and the upcoming full-length album PLEASE TOUCH (full announcement in Spring). The mix contains tracks from both releases.

This is a studio mix, started with an initial live take and then combed over meticulously with automated filters, eq, and fx. This is the same setup I use to play out, minus the automation. There is rarely a point when only one track is playing. I always try to find mixes that feel like a new track emerges from the combination. I imagine the optimal listening environment to be eyes-closed with headphones on, but I also hope you will feel an irresistible urge to move at some points ;)

For this month edition of my NTS show I invited the duo 
Crossing Avenue to take over with a mesmerizing hybrid mixtape. 

Their music features minimalistic and percussive beats, flashes of synth, alien life forms and subterranean ambiance which are constant elements in their aesthetics. Their production is also characterised by the use of Folk Rhythms typical of their region, Apulia, in the south of Italy.
Crossing Avenue is one of the central projects of Donato Dozzy's and Neel's Spazio Disponibile label. They performs Live PA up to three hours and hybrid Live sets.

This 1hour journey is like diving into an hypnotik wormhole into interdimensional tribal realms.

NTS ~ GiGi FM Presents Crossing Avenue ~ 19th August 2020

One last mix to end the year. When Svreca sent me this set, he could not have known what it would mean to me. I have spent so much time looking back lately, reliving old discussions and re-imagining moments passed, often lamenting how much was lost along the way. In just under three hours this mix communicates the flow of years. An archived recording from a special memory, it reminds me that the passage of time is beautiful even in what it fades away. Listening to it, I become lost completely, as though I am everywhere at once.

Thank you to everyone who listened this year, who sent warm messages and left comments, who supported us and kept us feeling connected. Thank you to the artists who continue to give their time and trust to the podcast and label, and keep us moving forward.
