After Susanna's impeccable residency on Fictions (https://cashmereradio.com/shows/fictions/ / https://soundcloud.com/su_li), I'm happy to get back on air with a new season of my show. This year we'll be exploring places - their moods, narratives and potentials.

We’re starting off with a letter special, a “Fictions at the Post Office” compiling intimate tracks and a wide range of missives I received across the years. Over 90 minutes, I’m reflecting on the nakedness of writing on paper: I read out some postcards and letters, I've received from friends and strangers over the last 15+ years. This show felt like a ceremony, where all the weight of those very precious confidences was being shared and celebrated in an almost abstract form. Thanks to everyone who has spent time exchanging thoughts and words with me in the slow form. What a pleasure to explore these experiences sonically and, really, what a pleasure to be back... I'm so grateful to have a space to be doing my own quirky and frankly slightly idiosyncratic thing. Maybe you'll find something in it too. More words on Fictions 61: this is a slightly different set than the ones I sometimes play on radio or in a club. It rolls within a shorter tempo range from moody house to bumpy garage. I used to occasionally play day-time after parties in Berlin (especially in Griessmuehle's wintergarten) and this year, I have been booked a few times to play closing sets. This taught me to keep rhythms rolling in a loose and mellow way, whilst trying to keep it experimental and interesting. I'd like to bring that skill to other tempos and settings!

I met Alice aka https://soundcloud.com/janloup at Chantelouve, a micro-festival in the Alps and one of my favourite annual French gatherings. As the cards predicted, we had an immediate Empress crush and our b2b was floating magic.

Jan Loup is currently on tour in a van with Maquis Son Sistèm (and their soundsystem) playing squats, DIT parties and other underground venues. In Berlin, they visited Cashmere Radio and I interviewed Jan Loup before a b2b on my monthly show Fictions.

I'll play for the party she co-organizes with Le Comité des Fêtes in Toulouse on the 15th of December. If you can't make it, we hope you enjoy our show together!
