Gill was born in Malvern, England and grew up on the Isle of Wight, moving to New Zealand in 1985. Gill now lives and works in the beautiful Horowhenua region of New Zealand, inspired by her beautiful surrounds.  A lover of many styles of music, with a vocal style that is a welcoming mix of low rich tones allowing the listener to enter into the music.  Colour Outside the Lines is Gill Allen's debut album, a mix of slow rock and folk ballads.
