A lone Grey Wolf howls in the late morning, losing itself to the natural reverb of a glacial valley

Grey Wolves were all but extirpated from Washington early in the last century. They've been on a slow but steady recovery now for decades. While still a species of high concern in the Northwest, occasions of hearing their mournful cries are thankfully becoming more and more common.

This is not without controversy, unfortunately, as ranchers fear their livelihoods will be destroyed and hunters express concern over the competition for game animals. My general feeling is this is good, however. The mass numbers of humanity living in former wolf territory and the introduction of highly destructive and invasive farm and game animals such as cattle, pigs, chickens, bullfrogs, pheasant, etc, have had long-lasting, oft-permanent destructive consequences on our ecological systems. That wolves are able to reclaim some territory on their own despite the historical effort to eliminate them is a testimony to their tenacity as a species.

The challenges are great, though, and humanity does not make it easy for other apex predators to survive in a world we claim as our own to despoil at will. Wolves need help all around North America. To help recovery efforts and the benefits they can provide, consider supporting a conservation effort such as The International Wolf Center https://wolf.org or a sanctuary and rehabilitation center such as Wolf Haven International https://wolfhaven.org. Les meilleures pensées sortent parfois du ventre d'un monstre.
Mais la pensée d'un monstre n'est pas toujours un monstre.
La vérité est partout.
Un penseur , ça ne crée pas de vérité, tout existe déjà.
Un penseur, ce n'est pas un créateur, c'est uniquement un ouvrier de chaîne.
Un ouvrier plus ou moins habile sur la chaîne d'extraction de la vérité.
Si seulement nous n'avions pas tant le culte de la personne.
Le culte du bon ouvrier.

La vérité est partout mais
Nous ne voulons pas nous mettre en relation avec le miracle de la vérité. 
nous ne voulons pas la quintessence de ce qu'elle nous apporte : 
nous voulons aimer des penseurs ou haïr des monstres.
nous ne voulons pas la vérité 
nous voulons aimer ou détester 
papa.
Il y a peu de création mais une quantité immense 
d'ouvriers, de penseurs , de monstres, 
de papas 
qui répètent des pensées déjà existantes.
Ils ne créent pas : ils répètent 
plus ou moins habilement.
Mais toute la vérité existe déjà.
Il y a peu de créations mais beaucoup de pensées répétées, 
puisées dans ce que la vérité offre sans aucune contrepartie.
Répéter, répéter, répéter.
À force de répéter 
à force de ne pas saisir les miracles que la vérité prodigue 
et de choisir d'ergoter sur le nom du papa qui les répètent
nous finirons par régresser.
Et nous régressons déjà .
Si les penseurs ouvriers monstres papas ont tant de pouvoirs sur nous, 
c'est parce que nous collaborons ensemble à spéculer sur leurs noms. 
Nous n'aimons pas la vérité.
Nous préférons aimer ou haïr des noms.
la vérité on s'en fout.
nous voulons aimer ou détester 
papa, le penseur, l'ouvrier, le monstre.
Et papa adore ça , qu'on ergote sur son nom.
Il adore qu'on parle de lui.

La pensée n'appartient à personne. 
Les meilleures sortent parfois du cerveau d'un monstre.
Du cerveau d'un père monstrueux,
du cerveau d'un connard de penseur mais
La pensée d'un monstre n'est pas toujours un monstre.
La vérité est partout.

À quand une pensée née sous X 
une pensée qui n'appartient à personne 
dont personne n'aura plus besoin de revendiquer ou d'haïr le nom de celui qui l'a répété.
Toute la vérité existe déjà.

In 2024, I was awarded the prizes for the best original score and the best sound design in the “French Duck Film Festival” (Paris, Fr.), and the prize for the best original score in the festival “Feel the reel” (Glasgow, UK), for my work in the film “Sleeping Jade”, directed by Jonathan Boissinot.
