I think the Lifetime thing coincides with Lorelai’s reticence about the book - she wants a happy lifetime movie ever after, but she doesn’t know what it should be and doesn’t want Rory to write it while she’s so conflicted. 

I think Sookie's storyline was changed midway as, earlier ASP didn't think Melissa would join the revival, hence all the other Chef guest appearances, so they had to make a mishmash, i would have also preferred pots banging, Jackson saying Sookie was just here...till her appearance.

Just tell Rory to leave the bucket story out of the book.....you can't put every detail of your life's story into a book

The only reason that is logical for me as to why Logan won't break-up with Odette is that he loves her too.

The ending of Breaking Bad was perfection and it's one of the main reasons I still consider it the best modern TV show.

this is such an interesting point about endings in shows/movies. if this is the ending that the Palladinos planned all along, after listening to your discussion I honestly like the season 7 ending as a series ending better. season 7 ending showed how stars hallow supported (and maybe glorified) Rory & Lorelai and left us with a sense of hope for Rory's future as a lifelong high-achiever -- an appropriate "conceit" for the show. I love messiness and failure and complex characters in shows, but the way the revival portrays rory is as a messy person, but more in an "oh look at rory being a mess lol we love her!" way than pointing out the serious mistakes she is making, especially as a 32-year-old. and i agree that the final message of gilmore girls being "well, I guess we just become our parents" is a bit contrived for a show that has never really cared about having a takeaway "message" come from each episode.
