Can You Cry In Space?

Gilroy and The Koreans are a three piece band that experiment with a lot of different styles and sounds. Electronic, classical, blues rock with some funk thrown in for good measure is probably the best way of describing their sound.

The band first came together in 2012, when guitarist, Jack Turner approached  Sam Baynes who was Djing at the time, decided he liked his tunes and wanted to have a jam along. Over the years and as the relationship grew and more and more equipment was purchased these DJ sets with live performances developed into Gilroy and The Koreans. A third member, Neil Matthews, got on board along the way,  a classically trained violinist, and the three started to write, record,  and produce their first album in the comfort of their own home. 

Entitled Pu-tush, the album displays a typically large variety of genres, from 50s rock and roll, to heavy dark electronica with a generous amount of experimental sounds thrown in.
