Over the past five years, Fever AM has given us a steady drip of exquisitely modern, genre-defying club music, from angular rhythm sculptures like Gacha Bakradze's "Daraji" to twisted party-rockers like Rhyw's "Biggest Bully."

To celebrate their fifth anniversary, label founders Mor Elian and Rhyw have put together a compilation that captures their strikingly fresh vision. "It's Not a Bug, It's a Feature" presents core Fever AM artists like Xen Chron and Ayesha alongside a few newcomers to the label, such as Pariah, MSJY, Peder Mannerfelt. Fans of the label know what to expect: soundsystem-tailored bangers with a surreal twist, for DJs that like to keep the crowd on their toes.

Setting the tone with the swarming bee synths of “Overdose”, a hivemind of its own with an end-of-the-world feeling to it, to proceed into “PWM Break”, breakneck speeds and tossed drumwork, yet permanently drenched ethereal silk-like pads.

Equal parts heavyweight and light as a feather, “Raver’s Delight” does what it says on the tin, with Reese bass thick enough to drown you on the dancefloor, culminating with “Rush”, a swung break stomper guaranteed to break hearts and subwoofers.

Žygimantas Dzikevičius aka @zygzyl5, half of @e506 hails from the urban district of Pašilaičiai in Vilnius, Lithuania. Since embarking on his musical journey in 2007, Žygimantas has been deeply influenced by the raw energy of old-school rave, breakbeat, and techno. His early work focused on crafting dubstep and jungle tracks, earning him spots as a dj at various underground parties and open-air events in Lithuania. In late 2019, he adopted the alias 5ZYL, a name that quickly garnered attention in electro/breakbeat scene.

VOST est le troisième invité de la série de podcast Out of the frame imaginé par Lullaby.

VOST est un DJ et producteur marseillais d’origine marocaine, qui emprunte les chemins les plus
escarpés de la musique électronique pour produire une Techno rapide et syncopée, tantôt furieuse,
tantôt émotionnelle. Révélé au grand public par son projet " Concept " sur Maison Close en 2022,
VOST se produit surtout en LIVE, où il propose des voyages dans son univers musical galvanisante,
entre Techno, Bass & Break.

C’est avec une grande sensibilité qu’il traduit sa vision de la musique électronique, dont il a trouvé le
coeur battant en fréquentant les soirées du collectif Métaphore à Marseille. Méticuleux, il n’hésite pas à emprunter des références aussi pointues que grand public, pour mettre des sonorités variées au service d’un projet unique, qui porte une griffe déjà distinguante et reconnaissable aux premières
notes.

VOST is a Moroccan-born DJ and producer from Marseille, who takes the steepest paths in electronic music to produce fast, syncopated Techno that's sometimes furious, sometimes emotional. Revealed to the public at large by his “Concept” project on Maison Close in 2022, VOST mainly performs LIVE, where he offers journeys into his galvanising musical universe, somewhere between Techno, Bass & Break.

It's with great sensitivity that he expresses his vision of electronic music, the beating heart of which he found while attending the Métaphore collective's parties in Marseille. Meticulous, he has no hesitation in borrowing from references as cutting-edge as they are mainstream, to bring a variety of sounds to bear on a unique project that is already distinctive and recognisable from the first
