Hey, Electro people ! Before going on summer vacation, we have prepared one more special episode for you. This time we have decided to pay tribute to Electro records and to its "Electro Transmission" series. We say goodbye to this iconic electro label since its founder, Alek Stark, decided to close it down and run away with the money that many fans paid for pre-orders. Yes, we are also included in this list of deceived people. It's a very sad story, to be honest, as Electro and its parent, Fundamental records, were unique in some way. So many records, with amazing designs and great music have been released. Everything was done with love & passion and finally it all ended badly because of one man's greed. What a drama. We express our sincere respect to all the artists who recorded music for this record label and to all fans ! In music we trust !

Electro Boogie (episode 37: Electro Transmissions special)

This months show for Electronic Convergence is a deep space electro excursion. Allow the celestial machine funk thrust you into the aural abyss. Either that or its just an electro mix!

Some cracking records this month with brand new tracks from ReKaB on Analog Concept and Curved Space (Owain K and Gilbert) on Innate. The spectacular ending to Jamie Exalt's label also features throughout with tracks from 'The End' by Nyquist, SCN1, The Hidden Figure (aka Cignol) and Transparent Sound.

A special mention to Koloah, an artist I just discovered and am an instant fan. Four tracks included in this mix. One to look out for in the future for sure!

The mix ends with two stalwarts of the deep electro scene, Plant43 and Sound Synthesis with the close-out track by Human Rebellion (Warehouse Manifesto artist).

Electronic Convergence Mix - August 2024

For the 411th episode of @DarkScienceElectro we travel to the Belgian capital of Brussels for a non-stop highlight mix of @Datawave – Influenced by local radio shows and well-organized series of underground parties in Belgium, Gaetan, then 17, quickly became an Electro enthusiast. In 2002 he started deejaying and shortly thereafter began composing his own sounds under the moniker @Datawave in 2010. The now 35-year-old producer mainly uses Ableton, Reason and a Bass Station 2 to produce the music you will hear in this non-stop mix. Gaeten has since gained support from DJ’s like @dave-clarke-dj-sets, @dvsnme, @umek and others. In additional, he has shared the stage with the likes of @manasyt, @cosmicforce and RA-X. On a personal note, I have loved the music of @Datawave since stumbling on his Soundcloud account in early 2017 and am very excited to share this with you. His music draws on the sounds of Carl Finlow, @Anthony-Rother, Drexciya and Kraftwerk while still managing to build on the sound. This special non-stop artist highlight was prepared for @DarkScienceElectro & I hope you all enjoy the music of this future master just as much as I do.

Electro Boogie (episode 9: E.R.P. special)

Born in the year of our Maker 1971, which as it happens was a great year for movies. Around 1984 graduated from Toy Soldiers and Ralleyvo into Breakdancing via crew Funkadelic Rock. Morphed into Graffiti Art writing CRED, a very enjoyable period that was too....Rave scene appears, went clubbing for a few years like a deranged voidbot ( empty but mechanical ) this was the Techno era !!!
Been crafting slices of Eccentronica for a while now, each track is created like a Scientific Mythological storyboard to a film not yet made..
