GAB wants to say a huge thank you to all the lovely people supporting the label since we kicked things off in August last year. Starting a new project over lockdown may have been slightly rogue but the support we’ve received on social media has been a massive driving force for ur boys Van Roy and Saucebag. 

Having received some unreal original demos over the last few months we decided the best way to say thank you to our followers was through a various artists, free download EP, ‘From GAB With Love Vol. 1.'

@gibbinuk , @leonfortgang , @shaunastapleton and @donsurf  have brought the heat on this release with a range of UK underground sounds including laidback broken beat steppers, rave-ready industrial heaters and of course some outrageously large breakbeats. 

Big up the absolute g Will Weaver for coming through with this beautiful design.

Gibbin - Slugworth [FREE DL]

Taipan Trax is a fresh new label founded by Leeds based producer Phasmid. Kicking off the imprint with a killer compilation, Taipan Trax Vol. 1 features producers from up and down the UK, all spinning their own style on the dark and wonky sounds of the underground - mainly spanning across bass, rave and breakbeat. Gibbin’s ‘Bad Club Etiquette’ is exactly what it says on the tin, a boisterous track featuring a vocal sample shouting out bad behaviour. Also local to Leeds, Gibbin has previously released on Dim Sum Records, 199, Gimme A Break Records and more.

After a Summer long hiatus, the Edit Room finally returns, and what better way to kick it off again than with a stomper from @gibbinuk. 

We're gassed to welcome Gibbin back to Gimme A Break following the release of his tune 'Slugworth' on our 'From GAB With Love Vol.1' VA. Since then he has released on Taipan Tracks and appears to show no signs of slowing down if this Giggs edit is anything to go by.

Leeds-based label Reference Mark Recordings’ third release welcomes the first non-Alfred track to the label – a remix from young producer Gibbin. This dark heavyweight stomper is defined by choppy vocals, spacey chord stutters and driving kick and bass patterns. The full release has subtle references and similarities to the first two more garage-inspired releases, but clearly has electro and breakbeat influences.
