“돌이켜보면 조금 멀리 돌아간 감이 있지만, 궁극적으로는 제게도, 다른 플레이어들에게도 ‘좋은 사운드’를 들려드리고 싶었어요. Bonobo가 술과 SNS로 소비되는 공간이 아니라, 음악이 중심이 되는 곳이길 바랐기 때문에 사운드에 집착했던 것 같아요.”

“Looking back, I probably took the long way around. But ultimately, I wanted the music—my own and every other DJ’s—to reach people in the best possible sound. I didn’t want Bonobo to be a place consumed for drinks and social media; I wanted it to be a space where music truly led. That’s why I became so fixated on the sound system.”

 Uni is a resident DJ at *Kockiri* in Seoul where the space’s warm and inviting atmosphere has become the foundation of his sound.
 He blends early-2000s grooves with the sensibilities of the Asian underground to create music that shares a sense of human warmth with the world.
 Alongside friends, he co-founded the queer collective *LoveAndWar*, using parties and podcasts as a platform to expand and strengthen the bonds within his community.
