Hello dear listeners.

After another break before releasing our latest podcast, we are really happy to double up for christmas with a gift by none other than the amazing Jamira Estrada. 

The Swiss-Mexican DJ and traditionally trained composer has cultivated a trademark sound that reflects her passion for playful confrontation. Her curations create spaces and networks for a wide range of emotions and states in body and mind; she is crafting her skills into dancefloor extasy in clubs all around the world, just to lead your mind into meditative states of introspection the next time you catch her performing in spaces outside of the clubworld.
Her deep sense for creation, curation and drawing inspiration from many different fields is paralleled by her active participation in the local scenes in collectives like Czarnagorna, Mikro or Cuadro22, making her an important and influencial person in the swiss underground scene. 

Her gift comes perfectly on time for christmas and to us its a real pleasure to celebrate the last episode of WaveChannel in 2023 with such a soothing and intelligently balanced selection of music. 

This mix is like a meditation itself, all is tangible, yet drifting by, it invites a new stream as it lets go of the last one and suddenly we feel the earth very close.

With this said, we wish you all the warmest shelter amongst those you love, be it friends, be it family. Feeling home and being able to rely on that feeling as a constant of your reality is the most blissfull thing on earth. We are eternally grateful to be able to do what we do and to provide space for others to do what they love. 

It is all the more painful to know and see every day, that this bliss is being systematically taken away from people, that there is so many humans that have no chance of coming home, of creating home, of maintaining home. We demand not to lay in a time of silence to think of those suffering, but to consider them in your every day by taking action, by being loud. 

Go to your local protests, write mails to your politicians demanding them to take the power they have and do some good, inform and educate yourself and others about the structures and narratives pulled by media and governments to support their machinery of wealth and war and please please please in all of this madness and the anger and the resentment and confusion this can create, do not forget our most holy and important source of energy; love. 

You are the energy you transport out in the world. 

Music is medicine, refuge, education, confrontation and first and foremost it is transportation.

Be aware of what you transport in your vessel.

GINA ESTRADA 
Gina Estrada has published her debut album " Picturing my Dream " 2013.   Since then she has been on off the road with her band, delighting her audience with varied performances . 
In 1998 she started as the frontsinger of mokka , a wellacclaimed band  attributed to the trip-hop area , with whom she toured up to 2004. 
Since 2009 she appears only under her own name . 
Her bittersweet and identifiable voice as well as her constant search for innovative sounds thrive Estradas music in the field of electronica, alternative dance, ambient. The new EP "sin fields" is produced by multiinstrumentalist and composer Balint Dobozi, was released in January 22.
