I don't know if ballad is the right genre to categorize this song but this is what I made up for my GCSE composition all those years ago, so it's pretty old. Got my dad playing an awesome electric guitar solo for it as well!

Sunrise

This is a very rough live recording but when I was studying The Great Gatsby at school, our teacher set us an assignment to make up a song about the characters in the novel. Where most people wrote poems or raps, I took the task a little bit too seriously and wrote this.. but it's got all the facts and motifs that you'll recognise if you're a Gastby fan!

A very cheesy song I made up a while ago. The harmonies are a bit dodge at the end, but it's got my dad playing guitar really well again - acoustic this time.

You're Not Alone

This was another GCSE composition.  We had to make a ternary piece so I've got my 3 sections - minor then major and then back to minor again. And it's got me playing clarinet! What fun. There's no singing in this so I guess it'd be a classical genre? I'm not sure - I'm not too great with my genres.

I've never done the sound cloud thing before but I've got a lot of songs that I've made up over the years just sitting on my desktop and not really doing much, so I thought I'd share them just in case anyone fancies a listen.
