Alex Bober’s music is a gentle, tender retrospective of an innocent heart. The main themes addressed by the artist are childhood, nature and memories. Soft textures filled with naturalness and uncomplicated melodism are a characteristic feature of his music. Alex is a passionate sound artist exploring the naivety in the world of sound, his composing approach reminds of children's drawings - sincere and beautiful in their imperfections.
Bober began experimenting with sound in 2015, gradually paving his own way and shaping his own style. In 2017, he begins releasing his work under his own name. Alex has released two LPs and is now working on the third one.

DeepWarmth is James Shain who started making music back in 2008 as lilmanjs with Ambient, Downtempo and IDM. Along the way the DeepWarmth alias sprung up for his stuff with Beats including more experimental stuff concering Drone infused beatwork. Now making music as DeepWarmth and James Shain for all Ambient, he strives to showcase his love for Ambient. Aside from being an artist, he runs the Electronic Music label Cold Fiction Music and the Ambient label Moody Drones with fellow artist Sage Taylor.

José’s is an experimental sound artist, recordist and a self-taught composer based in Tula, Hidalgo MX. Working in the field of ambient / minimal noise, and his compositions explores the balance between electronics and random environmental sounds, using acoustic and electronic processed sources and field recordings.

He participated at many spaces, projects and live concerts sorrounded by different artists around the world, such as: Pablo Reche, Juan José Calarco, David Escallón, Alma Laprida, Malcolm Delaney, Israel and Diego Martínez, Mauricio Sotelo (PCCL), Darren McClure, Pepo Galán, Toby Driver, Pavesa, Sarmen Armond among many others. He has also participated in different curated projects and performances at museums, galleries and cultural venues in Argentina, Panama, UK and Mexico. Darren McClure is a sound artist living in Matsumoto, Japan. His work focuses on texture, space and atmosphere. Sound sources are both analogue and digital, hardware and software, incorporating found sounds and field recordings to lend an organic, tactile quality to the pieces. His main intent is to create sound to both zone out to and zone into, a balance of widescreen drones and more minimal, abstract ambience.

He has released solo and collaborative work on a number of labels, across various formats. His music has also been used in conjunction with video work and documentary shorts.

Luigi Turra (b. 1975) is a minimalist electroacoustic composer living and working in Italy. His main interest is in the aural balance between silence and tactile perception of sound. Trough the manipulation of concrete and acoustic sources, he develops acoustic paths in which listeners experience continuous pauses and subtly abrasive sound tensions. Starting from the capture of small sounds and noises, Luigi Turra creates pieces of music, that are references to beauty of the imperfection and to the beauty of the transitory.
His work is published from labels such as LINE (US), mAtter (JP), Non Visual Objects (AT), and/OAR (US), Silentes (IT), Dragon’s Eye Recordings (US), 901 Editions (IT) and Trente Oiseaux (IT).

Off Land is the ambient / electronic output of Boston musician, Tim Dwyer. His work's focus is emotive landscapes, and meditative spaces, influenced by widescreen soundtracks, and meditative music such as Javanese gamelan and minimal drone. This combination becomes a natural ebb and flow of sound, building and fading in layers.

Deep Breakfast 012 - Andrew Sherwell

Edgar Medina is an electronic musician/producer based in Leon, Mexico. Edgar is the creator behind several leftfield electronic music projects (Alejandro Morse, Silverstone, The Rigor Mortis Experience, Billie Manilli, Transistor); his works have been published through independent record labels from USA, Mexico, Germany, England, Netherlands, Russia, Italy and Spain since 2002. 

Transistor is a project fueled by the digital error aesthetics and the glitch school applied to techno patterns, his tracks and live sets range from microscopic electronics to experimental dancefloor music under an intimate, warm, hypnotic and reduced approach. Alejandro Morse navigates the seas of the modern-classical/synthetic electronic music, offering processed field recordings, minimalistic-noise tracks and ambient-drone explorations.

Edgar Medina is a founding artist and collaborator at Umor Rex, he published his full albums as Alejandro Morse under the Umor Rex imprint: Landscape Memories (2006), Obelisks (2007) and Liminal (2018). He also runs his own label and curates the concert series: Transvection Ltd.

About the mix:
This session is a tribute, a homage, a love letter to those Electronic Music Pioneers whom envisioned and gave birth to the experimental / atmospheric / avant garde / electronic music scene in Mexico two decades ago in the dawn of a New Century and Millenium. 

Some of them are on hiatus, some of them are not longer residents of Mexico, some of them are gone forever (Manrico Montero R.I.P), some of them are still alive and kicking, remaining active and working on quite complex, unclassified and own-styled music... some of them (like myself), were lucky and blessed enough to be near those pioneers, to share thoughts, concerts, and music with now long-time friends that I considered, and still admire, as role models and deep inspiring musicians.

Known primarily for his contributions to the underground dub techno scene as Textural Being or aspect., Parallelism is the name of Portland, OR-area artist Sage Taylor's explorations of ambient sound. Fascinated by texture and drone, it is through this alias that he attempts to capture and extend moments of purity and euphoria hiding behind the bustle of traditional song structure. Using primarily collected samples and sounds captured via field recorder he crafts elegant, intimate and warm soundscapes for the listener to dissolve into and become a part of. Works as Parallelism have been released by labels such as Shimmering Moods Records, Moody Drones, Recycled Plastics and Tehnofonika Records.

Sasha is a trained violinist and choir vocalist who grew up with an addiction to music. Her first ventures into her own productions were a strong mix of distorted electronics, a far cry from her classical background. With the studio foundations in place she started producing a multitude of related genres like drum n bass, ambient and electronic music. Inspired by the dark ambient people in her life she surrounded herself with she slowly drifted into the scene and started turning her productions towards the depths. She has described dark ambient as something that gives her a freedom of thought in relation to the complexity of the world of wonders, a mix between the simple and the difficult.

Vancouver, B.C.’s wzrdryAV studied granular synthesis in the 1990s with one of its pioneers, Barry Truax, at Simon Fraser University, and continues to endlessly search for new ways to apply the technique. It’s an experiment that never ends... chasing tones, textures and atmospheres, while making use of a range of source materials and tools: microphones, records, synthesizers, samplers, software & movies. A frequent collaborator with Seekersinternational—many of their joint effort releases are available on the Wzrdry Recordings Bandcamp page along with solo wzrdryAV works. Submersion began his current project with the 2008 album "Cicada" and has been experimenting with electronic sounds since 2002. His main focus is on a combination of hypnotic ambient, drone, and dub techno.

Fifteen releases are under the Submersion alias on CD, vinyl, cassette, and digital formats.

Six self releases are in Submersion's discography, and he also has been a part of Silent Season, Rain, Wil-Ru Records, diametric., Deep Electronics, Space of Variants, ROHS! Records, Carpe Sonum Records, Circles & Spheres, Intrinsic Audio Sessions, Deeper Access, Hello Strange, and Milieu Music.

He lives in Lakewood, Ohio located on the coast of Lake Erie.

Hidekazu Imashige aka Gallery Six is an artist and composer who is based on Miyoshi Hiroshima, Japan.
Based on his theme “Multidirectionally considering aesthetics which are very familiar, often forgotten, concealed in nature or events, and finally reveal them”, he has been making ‘sound sketches’ mixing drone sounds mainly created from synthesizer and materials field-recorded when he goes wherever
his heart leads.
