Loving it!!!  I can’t decide which of the full moon transmissions is my favourite????    Been trying to figure it out for months!!!

This was the first ever Kootenay Yoga Festival.
Although the event was online this time, the weekend went off with out a snag! So many phenomenal speakers and teachers.
I was grateful to be a part of this creative event by offering a mix especially created for this moment while Joe Nillo, on the gram @josephdavidnillo painted a live digital art piece.

Opening night at Wonky Town was a vibe and a half, the space was a wonderland begging everyone to come play full to the brim with games, interactive installations, a cosy lamp lit lounge and all sorts of other shenanigans 

It was an honour and a privilege to play on a purpose built stage compliments of the festival and Fulcrum Designs in lieu of Sheila no longer being with us - May she forever rest in bass...

Also worth noting for full transparency and celebration of my musical journey that it was my first time performing live directly on the decks sans laptop and controller which was a whole new world in terms of convenience but all wrapped up in the kinda nerves I thought were behind me

Looking forward to continuing the learning process, experimenting with the weaving and manipulating of sound drawing inspiration from those in the know around me and as always with the highest level of gratitude and respect for the original creators

The Mood For Blues

Burning Man. It's the sum total of what makes being human an extraordinary experience, and that feeling has been my constant and consistent theme on the playa since my first time out, in 1995.  In this unscripted, 75-minute mix, mid-tempo organic house explores and celebrates the cultural nuances of mystically joyful and mesmerizing melodies and the deep push of pulsating rhythm and groove. The sounds of Aboriginal Australia, The Middle East, The Celts, and Africans of North, East and West origination, The sounds of the natives of the  Caucus Mountains and SE Asian steppes are all woven together in an unstoppable flow for the dancefloor.

I encourage you to explore and discover the incredible music the following artists have created, whose music ended up in this mix. Behind every tune is years of each and every producers picking up and practising an instrument, spending years learning music composition and music software and hardware, doing countless gigs, signing music contracts, dealings and negotiations JUST to get THEIR art to YOUR ears and DANCEFLOORS. DRAGONFLY - BEYOND DUST ( SOUNDGARDEN) BURNING MAN 2022

With change in the air and much anticipated wellness on the way it seemed like the right time to create a memento of this recent chapter of life... 

The music woven together in this homebrew is quite sentimental, the exact medicine I never knew I needed until it landed in my body at the right time and interestingly the right pace with most being a similar tempo and tone. 

Each of the tracks were recognised from within as a remedy long before I came to understand their meaning or relevance let alone marinade in their melodies. 

It is only now when I listen back that I come to appreciate the inner intelligence at work here and in turn start to rebuild some trust in my body and it’s ability to heal.

It was a JOY to open the 2023 Mesa Por Vida party with so many happy dancers gracing this beautiful desert dance floor under the open sky, between the junipers and ancient pinions, as we dove into a sublime late summer sunset. Thank you, thank you, thank you Team Everything and Mesa lovers from near and far. Like a Swan Song to the Mesa, let's call this a Pinion Jay serenade, a Nighthawk hoot, a Raven's Caw to the enchanting and restorative experience it is to gather each year on these special lands of the Tewa.

**the first 10 minutes of this set, an ambient journey, are dedicated to my tireless, kind and deeply co-creative collaborators that are Team Everything that produce the Mesa Party each year, and who generate so many other stunning dancefloor moments during the rest of the year. I started this way as a gift to my friends, a moment of rest before the bump of the party. Love you all dearly **

"Mystery Trip Vol.II" is all about going back to my roots: pulling out obscure vinyl from my global collection, then lovingly chopping, remixing and editing them into new tracks with a contemporary edge and classic Captain Planet touch. All 9 remixes have been blended together, along with audio samples and field recordings, into a 45min mix, which has been printed to cassette tapes like my earliest mixes from the late 90's. Similar to Mystery Trip Vol.I, which was listed in Sasha Frere-Jones "Best Music Of 2012", Vol.II leads you on a psychedelic journey to destinations around the world, where you are hopefully drawn out of your sonic comfort zone via a soundtrack that bridges styles of music from Asia and Africa to South America, The Caribbean and beyond.

This amazing full moon has brought about some deep reflection energy for me so I decided to offer this mix looking back on 2020. Sending out a reminder as February leaves the age of Aquarius is here! I know there is a lot of uncertainty these days and I am reminded to be next to the earth as much as possible. Big love to everyone!
