Ginger Geoffrey - Too Old to Die Young is a UK-Alt-Country-Rock Solo Band, (think playing the drums with your feet, while singing and strumming guitar), a contemporary plate spinning troubadour. Influenced by the intense rhythmic guitar style of Richie Havens and vivid lyrics of Nevin, Duritz and Heaton, (Fairground Attraction, Counting Crows, and The Beautiful South). As a late blooming Gen X singer songwriter, Ginger pens songs drawing upon the countless jobs he’s attempted to hold down over a myriad of years; antics with likeminded rebels as well as picking at some of life’s inevitable scars.

The son of a dustman and seamstress, raised on a West London, council estate. After the briefest of spell in Cornwall, Ginger laid his hat in Staffordshire England where he’s mostly lived since. Having worked in a wide range of jobs in construction, hospitality, transport, distribution, janitorial services, and education, he was also an employee rights activist, advocating for the guilty and representing the innocent at hearings and tribunals. Many of his songs draw upon these lived experiences. A self-taught musician, Ginger started out playing in garage bands then busking in the UK and across Europe. After a hiatus, he played covers as part of a charity events duo “Bash and Strum” culminating in a debut album of original songs ‘Rendezvous’ released in 2014.  He had a further foray as covers function duo ‘Rock Swings’ before going solo, playing in bars, and festivals, and as he approached retirement from ‘mainstream’ employment, he finally returned to and found, his singer song writing voice. He now writes, records, and plays full-time, busking and performing at festivals, new music venues, and appearing on the odd live radio show.
