This is the first single for GiO’s “KING OF THE HILL” project. A collective of songs about some of his experiences as a self proclaimed king of the East Memphis area. 

His raw and authentic yet lyrical approach to talking about real life issues and his experience is something to be coveted. 

This was a dedication to one of his prayers being answered. He asked God that his hometown heroes would draft star players and the same year Ja Morant joined the Memphis Grizzlies. Desmond Bane was drafted a few years later and Jaren Jackson was already considered a key component to the Grizzlies bright future.

Before Ja Morant’s season ending injury the Grizzlies won 56 regular season games. They had the 2nd best record in the NBA while being one of the youngest teams in the league. They were also the youngest team to enter the 2nd round of the playoffs since 98’. The Grizzlies did this while Ja managed to average 27 points a game in the regular season and win most improved player of the year.
