Hello everyone,

I chose to dedicate this release to the character Hodor from Game of Thrones. To me, he is a profound symbol of devotion and sacrifice. Hodor spent his entire life serving and protecting the Stark family, putting their needs above his own. His story is both heartbreaking and inspiring, showing the power of silent strength, unconditional loyalty, and the courage to fulfill his destiny, even when it meant sacrificing himself for those he cared about.

Originally, this track was supposed to be called Hold the Door as a tribute to the pivotal moment that revealed the tragic origin of his name. However, Hodor’s essence transcends that single moment—he embodies what it means to live selflessly, dedicating oneself entirely to others. His story is a reminder of the beauty and weight of true loyalty and the sacrifices it demands.

Made this unexpectedly. 

This reminds me of my young teen years...Hopping on some games with my friends and listening to MrSuicideSheep or Mixhound's Chillstep playlists.

The quotes are not from Alan Wats, but from his student: Eugene Rose.

Eugene Rose become an Eastern Orthodox Monk (famously known as Seraphim Rose), so I thought it would be a neat compliment to early chillstep.

Now I have a lot of unpublished material, the work on which continues uninterruptedly, and soon I can share with you my new EP.

2020 is an extremely intense year so far. It does feel weird to just continue doing my thing and releasing tunes during this time, while everyone is worrying about way bigger and more important things, but it's also very special to be able to contribute to your way of experiencing these times in a more positive way.

"Sanctuary" is a combination of textured percussion, soft piano's and driving basses. While the drums get more complex and the atmospheres become richer during the drops, the breakdown wanders off for a short kalimba section. I tried to capture a dreamy vibe in this one, and hopefully you'll feel that too.
