Originally, the Spritz is a drink from Venetia, Italy. Today were delighted to serve you a German twist of the aperitif classic made by no one less than Elias Doré, the force behind Rebellion der Träumer. 

Originally from Berlin, Elias explored many facets of music by performing in various bands and genres, from Afro-Funk in Dakar, Klezmer and Gipsy in London to Reggae and Soul in Berlin, before fully immersing himself in electronic music. What has over time stayed with him is his love for melodic warmth and organic sounds. Not confined by tempo or genre boundaries, Elias always takes his time to create a context and narrative around his music. 

His latest releases include a remix of Touzani's 'Asi Es La Vida' on Trndmsk Records, 'Nubivagant' together with Paul Baule on the most recent Harabe Nightmares compilation as well as 'Batura' together with the boys from LADS on Rebellion der Träumer.

Möhrecast #37 - Maurice Mino

It's been a while since I uploaded a set on my Souncloud page. Last year I was quite busy with the start of my master’s program and took some time for other things during the lockdown (such as finally read more!  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). In the last weeks I got back to music stuff and tried to record a classic Darko-Set, which I probably would have played live in a similar way. I really hope you enjoy the journey and that it can conjure up a bit of festival and club feeling in your living room.

I'm excited to see what will happen this year, and hope that we all don't lose sight of the beautiful enjoyable things around us, that we can be damn thankful for every day. Even if, at the same time, I can understand very well, that a lot of frustration and gloom has spread in a lot of us. These are strange times and many things are unfortunately so unfair, and yet, somehow I also believe that there are beautiful sides in all the things that happen, too. 
I like to have this sentence in my mind: It’s always a question of perspective. <3

German producer collective Township Rebellion sign a string-heavy three tracker of deeply blissful tech house collectively titled Aviation.

Dolores kicks in with an immense groove, setting up a grandiose backdrop from the get go. Scintillating synths and spacious arrangements send the track into euphoric heights, while the punchy bassline triggers instant movement.

Lumen bears a melancholic loveliness, revealing a rumbling bass and soft, airy pads. What intensifies the mood, however, is a haunting chord progression paired with a fittingly ghostly vocal, giving the track a new dimension.

Next Life consists of a back and forth dynamic piece, making use of the 1993 classic spoken word vocal-poem “Get Up”. Its upbeat and looming style adds a sense of impending doom, amping the track’s dance appeal.

A truly Unique Collabo between the mexican Vazik, Boho and Paul Feris is coming together on the upcoming Jannowitz release. 

Paul Feris, who has long been part of JAW's inventory, teamed up with Boho in the studio for starting. But they weren't really happy with the product itself so they've been asking Vazik for some feedback, who directly told them, that this ep is something special and asked them both for finishing the Single

Some dirty synths sounds have been added, and the clap sound was changed into something more energetic. 

This track has been finished vice versa, so Matthias and Lars took the chance to release this magical thing as their Debut Single on Jannowitz Rec. 

Since the BOHO's have a very diversified music taste and international influence, the duo has quickly emerged from a starting project, to a full cooperations Project, with more jaw label buddies involved as remixer on an international level. Kalil & Jessica Tribst are the Brazilian part & the legendary Kaiser Souzai guys from Germany take over the techno part which is slightly rougher than the original. 

A track that sounds different 4 times was the goal, and is presented in high quality with this uber EP. A symbiosis that can certainly be seen. In addition, we celebrate Jessica Tribst's first official remix, as she loved to be on the Jannowitz family with her love for the German imprint.

Like our Jannowitz recipe, remixes and original are done for peaktime, afterhours and open airs.

Huhu meine Lieben … ein letztes mal in diesem naja sagen wir mal bescheidenen 2020 melde ich mich nochmal musikalisch an euch. Der letzte Podcast aus meiner „We Are At Home“ Pandemie Reihe in diesem Jahr kommt aus München von der lieben Vero Fuchs.

Eigentlich hatte sie den Podcast für eine andere Podcast-Reihe produziert … die dann mit dem Argument abgelehnt hatten „Passt einfach nicht in unsere Reihe“ … pfff was den das für eine Art. In meine Reihe dafür passt der Mix um so mehr … ist er doch @home im Social DistanDancing entstanden. Haa Vero ich freu mich das die anderen so doof waren sowas tolles abzulehnen … ich bin begeistert und freu mich diesen Mix sogar als Abschluss für eine Jahr zu bringen … das wir wohl nie vergessen werden. Und der Mix hat alles was man für so eine Abschluss braucht … bisschen Melancholie … aber eben auch die Spur Positivität die wir für das Jahr 2021 benötigen … es wird nicht einfach … aber am Ende werden wir wohl hoffentlich lachend, springend und uns in den Armen liegend auf dem Dancefloor wiederfinden. Ich glaube fest daran … weil schlimmer kann es ja fast nicht kommen oder ?!?!

Ich diesem Sinne meine lieben HörerInnen, DJ, DJ-Frauen, ProduzentenInnen, Freunde und FreundInnen, Familie, Clubs, Kulturschaffende und sonst alle Menschen … einen guten Rutsch ins 2021.
