“Jandía” is the breath-taking second single taken from Spanish AFFKT’s upcoming new “The Big Picture” studio album. The LP is set to be released later this summer via Mobilee. For this new single, AFFKT built a striking and dreamlike polyhydric shapes tech-disco cut.  

Captivating music that pays tribute to beautiful Jandía, a peninsula in the south-western part of the island of Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). A nature reserve with gigantic sandy beaches that AFFKT now wants us to visualize through his music.

“Jandía is a wonderful place I was able to discover after a necessary and unforgettable trip this last summer. The beauty of that unique place deeply inspired me… I believe it perfectly invites everyone to fly, to travelling without moving. AFFKT definitively drops a lush and melodic track that is perfectly identified with the core of the entire forthcoming LP. And that's because the new album will bring together all the best feelings and elements of the Spanish producer creativity into one cohesive release. New concepts and styles to deliver everyone some of the energy that needs to be released after a forced pause. ‘The Big Picture’ will be probably his most expansive and multifaceted electronic-driven album to date.

Last but not least, “Jandía” EP includes a stunning remix by M.E.M.O. as well as another of the main and original titles included in the new album: “Calipso”. To keep us dancing and enjoying music in a fresh and shiny atmosphere!

2015 has been a hell of a year for this UK based House duo with all major labels falling over themselves to pick up their next EP. All top-flight DJ’s are also taking notice including Pete Tong who provides regular Radio One support and as an extra string to their musical bow, CamelPhat now debut on Toolroom.

Both tracks on this EP were the result of a studio session that came after a 4-day marathon in    Ibiza with very little sleep and various trips to DC-10. Those techy drums, low-slung basslines and sleazy synths reek of the White Isle at 10am on a Monday morning. So, if it’s hot and sweaty beats you are after then look no further. ‘Get Sick’ is a peak-time tech-houser whilst ‘Luna’ delves into darker techno territory but both are welcomed additions to any discerning USB stick!

Originally from Italy but currently UK based, Anthony Castaldo is the latest artist to join the Intec roster, and he comes to the label following previous releases on imprints such as Unrilis, Respekt Recordings and AnalyticTrail.

Alongside many solo tracks, Anthony Castaldo has also collaborated with artists such as Luigi Madonna, Markantonio, Roberto Capuano have put him firmly on the map. He is constantly evolving, ever on the hunt for new, unique sounds to add to his productions, charactized by their melodies and atmospheric sounds.

Popular with many of the taste making DJs of the worlds techno scene, one of his tracks was supported by Richie Hawtin in nearly all of his gigs for numerous months, and that is just one of his many noteworthy accomplishments.

Kalt that features Raniero opens the EP with a stripped back sound and dark atmosphere that leads towards the main breakdown where the eerie vocal spoken in German is unleashed. The captivating spoken work combined with the menacing urgency of the lead synth give this hard hitting cut an ominous mood brimming with tension.

The rattle of mechanical hi-hats over a thundering bassline sets the scene for Phase Of Love which unfolds with brooding intensity. Haunting melody synths and rubbery textures fuse with the creepy vocal drive until the sweeping pads take hold after the main break. Building in momentum, this forceful track commands dance floor respect and admiration.

Closing the three tack EP is Strange Things that takes an understated approach in comparison to the previous offerings on this release, but it still packs a serious punch with its hard-hitting percussion and subtle acid squelches that sit behind the modulating lead synth. Intricate and full of drama, this track has a subtle yet effective style.
