Kostas Skretas was born in 1984 at the city of Athens(Greece) and grew up in Syros, an island of Cyclades until the age of 17. He studied Electronic Engineering at the city of Lamia(GR) till the age of 23 and then he returned back to Syros(GR) to finish his military duties at Hellenic Navy. 

He started playing the piano in a very young age, but soon he realized that his music interests went far away from just classical melodies! In 2001, after a few years of collecting music he started playing music at local bars and clubs in Syros. Experimenting in various music he understood that progressive house music was closer to his likes. Releases of Kostas have been supported by artists like Hernan Cattaneo(ARG) , Eelke Kleijn(NL), Shiloh, Flash Brothers, Christian Cambas(GR), V-Sag(GR), Adrianos Papadeas(GR), Denis A, Eelke Kleijn, Nick Varon and Cid Inc. just to name a few. These days he is really busy producing and organizing events along friends under the name of DeepGroove Music Arts TM.

Captured live from the stunning shores of Elba Island, this mix brings you straight into the heart of a magical Mediterranean evening. Recorded on July 28th during my summer residency in Rio Elba, this 67-minute journey blends the finest in disco-infused house, soulful grooves, and funk-driven beats that perfectly complemented the island's enchanting sunset atmosphere.
Starting with The Fatback Band's timeless "Do The Bus Stop" in Joey Negro's masterful rework, the set flows through carefully selected gems from Homero Espinosa's "Free Boogie Biscuits" series, modern disco edits, and contemporary house productions. Each track was chosen to capture that perfect balance between nostalgic soul and forward-thinking dance floor energy that defines the Elba experience.

🌅 Sunrise Sounds from Norsi | Elba Island Tech House Journey - July 25th, 2025 🎵
Three days before my Rio Elba session, this intimate 37-minute set captured the raw, underground energy of Norsi's hidden corners on Elba Island. Recorded on July 25th, this mix showcases a deliberate evolution from disco-house foundations into the driving, hypnotic realm of contemporary tech house.

The journey quickly establishes its groove credentials with Homero Espinosa's "Keep On Jumpin'" edit and Fire Island's powerful Loleatta Holloway collaboration. But as the Mediterranean morning unfolds, the selection boldly shifts gears into tech house territory.

The real magic happens when Bontan's extended remix of "This Is My Life" introduces those signature rolling basslines and crisp percussion that define modern tech house. From there, Tal Fussman's "Up North" and Ricky Fobis's underground gem "No Regular" take center stage, showcasing the hypnotic, loop-driven aesthetic that makes tech house so addictive on the dancefloor.

This session represents my exploration of Elba's diverse musical landscape—where classic disco sensibilities meet the forward-thinking pulse of contemporary tech house. Perfect for both early morning beach sessions and late-night underground moments.
