This is a composition based on a recording of flowing water. The sample was processed using a granulator and then processed again with some stutter effects. I also processed the sample with a program that let me split the entire sample in tiny waveforms called wavesets.

This is a short composition made with glitchy sounds obtained with semi-random sound synthesis.

Waves is a composition based on one recording of sea waves. The recording is processed digitally using Waveset analysis in order to extract pitches, durations and dynamics which are then notated in the score played by the clarinet (this is done by an automated system made with Max and Javascript which is capable of analyzing an audio file and write a score based on pitch, duration and amplitude of each Waveset). Waveset transformations are also used to process the sound of the sea and the clarinet. Huge thanks to the amazing clarinet player Kookhyun Nam for the performance.

Waves

Voci is a composition that explores the history of vocal music. A composed sequence of different genres of singing is transformed throughout the piece by means of filtering, time strecthing, time reversing, pitch shifting and reverberation. Voci was composed in the beautiful Voltage Control Studio at the Institute of Sonology in The Hague.
