This dynamic duo, much milk and cookies, get us excited over at the Purple Tea Records. We have long been following their tech-house heat on Spotify. The British/German collaboration of GIORG and Santez, brings to the world some really fat, hypnotic Tech House. This tech-house duo is hot to trot. With releases on labels such as Protocol, Daylight Robbery and most notably our good friends at Toolroom, sup #toolroomfamily. 

It is with open arms and big hearts we welcome the pair to the North. Winter has already come, and we were hoping the lads would bring the heat, and they did not let us down. Just the groove in this track is enough to get a dance floor bouncing. With crisp hats, a 909 Tom giving it that swing, and that business bassline. 

This track is most certainly just got as much bite as it does bark. The track isn't complicated by any means, but it never intends to be. It's full of textures that are carefully brought in and out as to add interest to the track without taking away the listeners focus to the main element. The melody, plays nice with the bassline, while having its own personality. This rich top line is big. I mean BIG. GIORG and Santez nailed it. It will fill up flooded dance floors with a nice melodic element all the while still being a proper dance floor mover.

These guys mean biscuits. We're thrilled to add them to our ever-growing family. As I write this we're being pelted with 50cm of pure Canadian powder. While the UK gets shut down from half a centimetre of snow, and Instagram accounts get flooded with peak winter pictures, we will be digging our cars out from the tundra, but at least we do so with that heat from the UK and Germany.

Jason Chance & Kevin Andrews first met at the ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) Music Conference a few years ago and became good friends immediately. Their first work together was when Jason remixed the Hoxton Whores 'Vicious Fever' single and that was then followed by Jason & Kevin's decision to hit the studio together to work on a collaboration. The guys enjoyed it so much that they now make sure it's a regular thing and this new single 'Work The Track' will be their third release together on the 1605 label.

No longer an obscure name, Weiss hit the charts with ‘My Sister’ being played by everyone from Loco Dice to Groove Armada. As with this track, his mix on ‘Toolroom Live 01’ is created by and for the lover of real House music, referencing the past and looking to the future. Featuring tracks by the likes of MK, Hot Since 82, Harry Romero, Bontan, Tube & Berger and Doorly, alongside a brand new exclusive from Weiss himself, ‘I Believe’, this is a mix that’s all about craftsmanship; it’s about the emotions that the tracks evoke; it’s about a great passion for House music. 

At the other end of the spectrum, Adrian Hour is no stranger to this ethos. Well regarded by the likes of Carl Cox and the Suara team for his jaw dropping productions, he infuses his tracks and Toolroom Live mix with an indescribable quality. Adrian Hour deftly weaves his way through the many shades of techno, incorporating new tracks from Pirupa, Erik Hagleton and Coyu & Ramiro Lopez, as well as huge exclusives from himself, D-Unity, Montenegro and more.

Finally, Mark Knight ties the album together with his ability to make memorable main room House music and his talent for creating moments that are reminisced about for months, even years, after the event – and this is the focus of his Toolroom Live mix:

As we move into 2018, Misfit Music returns for it’s 5th release. The label has been making huge waves since its inception, last summer. Signing Stockholm’s Tiger Stripes for this next release is true testament to how rapidly the label is progressing. Many will be familiar with the Drumcode regular’s more recent work, but Mikael Nordgren (aka Tiger Stripes) boosts a rich back catalog of material with releases on Ibadan, King Street / Nite Grooves, Get Physical to name but a few. 
In keeping with his contemporary take on the modern Techno sound, Tiger Stripes delivers 2 heady cuts for the Belfast label. Title track ‘Bang’ hits hard with it’s infectious vocal hook and is 100% designed for the dancefloor! While ‘Moan’ is deeper and geared more for those late night moments with it’s low slung vibe and bass heavy groove. Label boss MONTEL steps up for remix duties under his new Techno alias ‘MNTL’  and provides a stripped back and hard hitting alternative to the original.
