The solo project of Kill Memory Crash's Adam Killing, Circa Tapes explores a minimal and subliminal form of songwriting and production, blending influences from a slew of genres including post-punk, techno, EBM/industrial, and italo to create lush, driving palettes for his bleak yet catchy songs. These 10 tracks run through a wide array of moods, tempos, and themes, yet when presented together feel completely unified due to the unique sensibilities of their creator.

History:
“Confetti’s” started their offensive in the middle of the “New Beat” period in the late ’80s with the hit “The Sound of C”. The producers duo Serge Ramaekers and Dominic Sas composed in 1988 the song “The Sound of Confetti’s” to promote the then very well known nightclub “Confetti’s” in Brasschaat (Antwerp). “New Beat” was until then mainly an underground happening, but this changed rapidly through the coming of this song. Because the record label “USA Import Music” wanted to release the soundtrack so that it could be played in all discotheques, the song was released as “The Sound of C”.

Electronic Body Music (EBM), mas raramente conocido por Aggrepo (Aggressive Popmusik), un estilo musical desarrollado tempranamente en los 80’s caracterizado principalmente por secuencias repetitivas donde predominan estresantes ritmos de baile así como también distinguidos gritos claros. Este estilo es considerado como una coincidencia-condicionada que confluye entre el Industrial Británico, los sonidos del Minimal-Electro y los pioneros del Techno Moderno.

El origen y las separaciones de este estilo son destacables, el EBM surge en una cerrada área metropolitana fuertemente caracterizada por la industria pesada, dentro del margen de modelo de planificación regional de Roger Brunet que corresponde al llamado "Plátano Azul" (Ver Imagen). A partir de la segunda mitad de los 80’s el EBM también pudo encontrar un espacio para poner pie dentro de lugares como Suecia, Japón y algunas regiones de los Estados Unidos.
